Racism never gonna go away
Someone brought up the subject of Jessica Lynch. I thought that the coverage they gave her was not right. Think about it, she's one person will all that publicity then you got hella people cheering for her to come back safe. What the fuck about everyone else getting shot up there? If that was a black, latin, even a iraqi soldier, you think they would give the same coverage? Hell naw! I just think little blonde white girls getting injured isn't as bad as others getting killed while leaving family behind. I'm disgusted with the way our media filters what's worthy and whats not. Well if you ask me, fuck Jessica. That bitch can rott like the others that never get the time of day. R.I.P for everyone that died with no recognition.
IM FEELIN YOU CUZZ-

I WILL QUOTE THE FEELINGS FROM AN ENTIRE "MINORITY" MILITARY COMMUNITY;
LYNCH IS AMERICA'S LITTLE WHITE GIRL...FUCC HER!

ask the homies that serve in the military and you will hear the "truth".

yeah i halfway agree wit zero though....only on the facts he stated.....they did show a lot of coverage of the group wit the blacc lady in it and they even showed her mom and shit on TV so this isnt a good argument ta support the idea of racism in america...which does exist...thas where i disagree wit Zero....maybe he hasnt seen it but i sure have and there is some racist shit goin on all the time...

and lynchs story was all bullshit...iraqui's at the hospital where she was werent even tryin ta have funk wit america....they were just regular iraquis and werent fighting for saddam...they say they gave her very good treatment while in thier care and they thought therescue team acted a lil too dramatic wit the way they came in like they were in a hostile situation which they werent......

I agree with slit_throat999 about the media hype and patiotism they keep dishing out to boost moral. Never believe what you see. Do your own research and you'll know how fucked up our leaders really are.

Do some research? What are we researching? Articles, Books, News reports... what? They are all just opinions. To every report there is an opposite side of the story. You can do a search on the internet and find dozens of websites that say the Holocaust never happened. If you search hard enough, you will find evidence to back up whatever it is that you want to believe. The media is no more wrong than it is right. They douse their stories in sugar, but the basis is more true than not.

How do you know it's bullshit? You must have been there... how is it up on the warfront? Did you have to kill anyone? What were you and Jessica Lynch doing on the battlefield anyway? I hope you don't mind answering these questions, but I have yet to speak with someone that knows the truth about what happened.

People like you tend to disbelieve everything you hear from the media without care of it's credability, and in doing so, you too are a sheep of this world.

NO Zero FUCK YOU! Fuck YOU and your little cock suckin friend PHIL, IT's obvious you don't have to deal with it, because if you did you wouldn't be saying shit like that. What he's trying to say is that, some people use their skin color to create racial tension. I have seen it first hand, let me give you an example.

At the grocery store I work at my friend was checking out some customers going through his checkstand. It was a group of about 5 black people with groceries scattered all over the register. As he was cheking the items out he came to a gap in between orders. The entire group of customers were conversing together, so my friend asked the nearest person "Are you with them?" so that he could either stop the order, or combine them. The lady replied with "Why are you asking me that for, is it because I'm black you think we gotta be together, yeah I got your ass didn't I, don't let it happen again".

Now I don't expect you to believe that story, but at least after reading it, you can get an idea of what Zer0 was trying to say.

Now, that's not to say that minorities are the only people keeping racism alive, not even close. White people have just as much to do with it, if not more than any other nationality. I have much more on this subject, but the majority of those who posted in this thread--by reading your replies--are not anywhere near ready to read or understand what I have to say (to far in the shallow end). Just know this, every time you point the finger, every time you tell a white man "Is it because I'm black" your only creating racial tension where it more than likely not present, and in doing so, you are giving him an GENERAL impression of what he is to expect from other black people. Now please understand this is not where I stand, rather an observation. This is something I have seen happen, and it's not good. I know that a black man, in many cases really believes that there is racially motivated actions surrounding him, but it's not always true.

Sweet.

It just bothers me as a white person to hear people complain constantly about racism. Yes I'm white... No, I don't hate you because you're black/spanish/asian/indian.

Then to watch the same black/spanish/asian/indian people that I show love and respect to as if they were any other skin color, complain about white people, makes me ill.

"You white people are racist".

Who's the one who brought up race in the first place?

sucks doesn't it? i bet those black/spanish/asian/indian wish, probably more than you, that racism didn't exist. but unfortunately whether you want to believe it or not, it does.

and if it makes you feel sick, you can only imagine how the people that are fed up dealing with it feel. atleast you only have to hear people "complain" about it and not actually deal wit what they deal wit.

Not really. Because there's racism from both sides.

Like it's my fault that the media chose to cover the capture of a white female. The thread starter conveniently forgot about the black soldier that was reported about as well.

The whole "racism" argument seems to put blinders on the people who are first to cry racism in the first place.

Besides, you don't have to put up with racism to have to deal with discrimination. I get followed around stores because of the way I dress and my age. ::shrug::

And a point you might find interesting.... Last week I was racially profiled because I was a white person driving through a black neighborhood with my friend.

ok. no offense, but the reason you sound like a little bitch wining is because you DRESSED a certain way and got followed around a store. so what. what if you got followed around no matter what you wore. what if it was because of your nationality. or something else that you can't just physically change?

then you WENT to a black neighborhood. think about that happeneing to you no matter where you went then you NIGHT understand just a little where people are coming from. and you might not consider some "complaints" complaints.

Why should I have to change the way I dress just to buy some Pringles and a pack of smokes at a convenience store? Plus it has more to do with my age, I think.

then you WENT to a black neighborhood. think about that happening to you no matter where you went then you NIGHT understand just a little where people are coming from. and you might not consider some "complaints" complaints.
Yeah I understand this... I HATE racial profiling. It's bullshit. But I'm just saying it goes both ways. It's just that the media only covers what they can call "racism" when it comes to racial profiling.

A white person like me going through a black neighborhood gets pulled over for nothing? That's not on the news.

I feel what you're all sayin, but I just want to let you all know that at least 80% of the white population is NOT racist. Myself personally, I like anyone as long as they're not assholes. Hell, my friend of Indian descent came out to me as gay... He's still cool with me.

Granted, some assholes would go off on this. I just want people to know that they are the minority rather than the majority. The tactics of the media need to be addressed separately from the "racism" topic.

My black/middle eastern/asian/spanish friends are all family to me. I understand that racism is still out there, but it hurts me to be labeled racist, just because of my skin color. That's racism to me, but I can't call it out because I'm a white male.

Know what I'm sayin?

And UKantCMe, it's all respect. I appreciate and understand what you're saying and I hope you'll take what I have to say and consider it.

well i don't think you totally understand what i'm sayin'. my point is that real racism is more than just you being pulled over in a black neighborhood. it goes way deeper than that and i doubt you'll ever experience racism like people of color do.

but as far as you being called a racist.... i understand how you can take offense to that if you don't believe you are racist. but, i'm not calling you racist, and i don't think most people that speak out against racism are calling you racist either.
