SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA - Two men were killed after a car crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into another vehicle on Interstate 5 south of Elk Grove late Friday, a CHP spokesman said.
The accident happened just north of Twin Cities Road in south Sacramento County around 10:15 p.m. Friday, CHP spokesman David Dowty said.
Dowty said 30-year-old Juan Carlos Reyes-Torres of Olivehurst was driving the Toyota Camry that crossed the center median of I-5 and slammed broadside into another car heading northbound.
The crash killed Reyes-Torres as well as the driver of the other car, identified as 38-year-old Albert Hu of Stockton.
Hu's wife Romina was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries, but she was expected to survive, Dowty said.
