I think the reason we label these artist the greatest is for the simple fact that they died in their prime. Had Snoop died when DoggyStyle was hot, or 50 died when G.R.O.D.T. was hot (regardless of your personal opinion) they would of been questions such as the ones we're asking in this thread.

My personal opinion is, had 2Pac & Biggie lived we would of got to hear them come with albums that would just flop. Much like the Dogg Pound and a whole lot of others who had hit albums at the height of it all, but we can walk past their album sitting on a shelf today. Or never bother to hear the snippets on iTunes. And if so, we approach it with the mentality to talk shit about it later because the album is whack.

Another is Bruce Lee who only made 5 movies (technically 4, because one wasn't finished & pieced together from extra footage after his death.) Enter The Dragon being his first & only American Motion Picture (not including The Green Hornet t.v. series) & biggest selling movie, but came out after his death. Much like Biggie's Life After Death album.

Those people died in their prime & will remain immortal within their realm.

I can and will say this much though if Biggie and Pac were still alive we wouldnt be stuck with all this bullshit thats out right now I would gladly trade lil b and drake for Eazy, Pac and Biggie and cougnut, etc
