Prior to everything, I remember sitting down with Young Arlay when he was about 15 years old. Maybe fresh 16. He wanted nothing but to figure out HOW to make his rap career work. He was a hungry kid.
I used to spent countless hours in the studio with him, A to Tha K, D Shot, J Minnix, etc. I mean we used to all have a ball. But I remember sitting down with Arlay and telling him the grind that an artist had to have, helping him understand the true meaning on being on the grind as a aspiring rap artist. His father Arlay sr. is probably one of the most greatest fathers I've met in recent years. He did everything and anything to make sure his son stayed out of trouble and by that he invested into his rap career. It's so stupid and just pointless why he's no longer here with us. Lay was a great kid, never got into too much, just was about making his rap career work.
Lay, I'm a miss you man. I remember the last phone call we spoke and how proud you were about coming out with a new mixtape. I'll always remember you as that lil boy wonder i called you. Rest in peace, may your soul rest, I'll see you when I get there, and we'll definitely kill another 5th together my dude.
