QUESTION FOR WRESTLING FANS

It's called Sports Entertainment for a reason. You never see the wrestlers on your evening news crying that they only made 15Mil this year and deserve a raise and bout to go on strike like NFL,MLB,NBA, and NHL players and they don't have an off season where they can rest til the next season starts up...they go 12 months straight. Now that's REAL
back in like late 86 early 87 i wasnt even a year old but i used to always fuck wit the vcr buttons... my mom got hella old school tapes that are recorded over because i used to tape wrestling.... i watched it pretty much from 87'- 2001 then i stopped till 2005 again and i started watchin it again...
its like i been known it was fake since back in the day but its just entertainment... its like in a way a soap opera for guys ya kno? always drama bitches.. and plus u get the occasional crazy stipulation match where u see someone flying offa dam cage onto a table and hella blood.... so i mean its hella fun to watch for me... but everyone got different opinions i guess........
my friends still kinda talk shit to me cuz we will all be kickin it on a monday night... and ill bounce home to watch wrestling.... lol

I grew up on it. On teh real, if you have older brothers and you grew up in the 80's and 90's it was kinda hard to not watch porn, wrestling, kung fu theatre and other karate flicks, horror movies, godzilla, ultra man and force five cartoons (raydeen, danguard, mazinger etc.)
I tell a lot of people if they want to understand marketing and promotions they need to probably watch a couple of wrestling episodes. Vince Mcmahon = marketing and promotions GURU.
I know its fake, but like homie said you watch it to see whats going to happen next, and this is part of the entertainment. If I want to watch REAL fights, I watch boxing or MMA, but those lack "drama".

because i watched it growing up as a kid all the way until high school where i kinda lost track of what was going on, until my homie and his family threw the monkey back on my back and i got dragged back into that addicting soap opera shit 
its hella funny man and its nostalgic, so you watch it through the bad even though i admit the spirit squad and shit like that is flat out gay, then when the good shit starts to happen again you get dragged in full force into it.
nowadays i watch it for the old school hoping they can bring back that edge of your seat dont miss next week type of monday night wars wrestling, but its also cool to see where the wwe has come from and interesting to see where its heading
but uh yeah if you feel like reading that or whatever thats my reason but if you get it then cool

I watch it because it's entertaining as hell. Those guys are on the road performing 200+ days a year. Like someone said, they don't have an off season. You might see them wrestle on TV once or twice a week, but when they aren't doing the TV shows, they're doing house shows. When they aren't on wrestling on TV or at a house show, they're doing promotional stuff like autograph signings or other TV shows.
I have so much respect for what they do, because they really do put their bodies (and lives in some cases) on the line night in and night out. Yeah they don't really hit each other, but a lot of what they do is painful. Getting bodyslammed probably takes getting used to, coming off the top rope, etc. They have to trust their partner in the ring that they won't drop them on their head and break their neck. Yeah they are going against each other, but every move takes both wrestlers' skills.
I would like to see any Average Joe off the streets watch it, trash it, whatever, and then try to do the simplest wrestling maneuver. I guarantee they couldn't do it right or make it look anywhere near as good as the pros.
