You say we complain but appriciate our rights, of course we do! What do you want us to do, be like you and sit back and not say shit? Sit back relax inhale the anthrax? Do as we are told. "Yes sir masta, no more complaining. I do as you say, sir. "
So what if people are pissed at what the government is doing. They should be pissed, and so should you. So sorry for complaining. Would you complain if you were a slave in america back in the day? Would you complain if you couldnt go to a white school? Or woul.d you be a pussy and not say shit?
You complain by posting on this message board? You think the government gives two shits about this board? Are you doing anything to change the situation? Other than complaining to a bunch of other people that aren't going to do anything either.....

Oh, so you know what I do in my personal life dont you?

First off, I am active on several different message boards and YES it is helpfull by posting articles/opinions etc. If you havent noticed there are a lot of people who post and read on message boards. Its an excellent way of spreading information.

Second, I never said the government gives "two shits" about this board.

Third, YES I am doing my part in changing our current situation by spreading information to others, and being active in different Organizations. If I had MORE MONEY and POWER, Im sure I could do a lot more, but unfortunately that isnt possible at this time.

Fourth, by spreading information to others they themselves spread that information to people they know.

What are you doing my friend?

@GimpyPimp

How do you know we're not going to do anything?

How do you tackle your problems?

The proper way to handle a problem is to identify it in the first place. That's the first step, and I think a most cats in here are in step one.

Don't forget, ignorance is the root of every problem. And how do you counter ignorance? With education of coarse.
My plan is to educate as many people as I can.
I do it through here because it's the only way I can at the moment. My ultimate plan is to use "their" system against them.
"They" influence everyone through the media, then we have to do the same....

No, I don't. That's why I asked questions.

First off, I am active on several different message boards and YES it is helpfull by posting articles/opinions etc. If you havent noticed there are a lot of people who post and read on message boards. Its an excellent way of spreading information.
That's good.

Second, I never said the government gives "two shits" about this board.
I never said that you did say that.

I just think that your efforts might be best served on a different board.

I understand that this is the Gathering of Minds forum. But let's be honest here...a majority of the people who frequent this board and complain about who, what, when, where, why and how, are not going to do anything to help change what they are complaining about. They tend to be a little more concerned about the next Brotha Lynch album.

Members of different boards might be more willing to bring about change.

Third, YES I am doing my part in changing our current situation by spreading information to others, and being active in different Organizations. If I had MORE MONEY and POWER, Im sure I could do a lot more, but unfortunately that isnt possible at this time.
What organizations are you involved in? What do they do?

Fourth, by spreading information to others they themselves spread that information to people they know.
I agree.

What are you doing my friend?
Nothing. I'm not complaining.

Homeboy....the first step in changing one's circumstances is changing the way one THINKS. This is what 2-0-Sixx actively encourages when he posts news articles and other information......for example.

It doesn't matter what the government thinks. Nor do the beliefs matter of those "people that aren't going to do anything either"..........there are those of us who are working on "changing the situation" (as you put it) and changing the way we see things, and the backlash on this bulletin board won't stop us.

Those who find value in the posts will continue to challenge themselves. Those who don't will move onto the next thread...or maybe they'll make a thread like this one and complain at the next person for posting.

Solo...point taken, and I understand completely.

there are those of us who are working on "changing the situation" (as you put it) and changing the way we see things, and the backlash on this bulletin board won't stop us.
I see the complaints on this board, but I haven't seen anyone post about things they do outside of this message board to help resolve some of these complaints (unless I missed it).

No rallies, picketing, passing out flyers, etc. (again, unless I missed it).

I'm not asking anyone to stop posting. I find alot of the posts interesting. I like seeing other peoples views, even if I don't agree with them. It just looks to me like people are complaining and not doing anything about it.

Nicely stated.

when i come here i see threadz upon threadz about how Bush is evil, and threadz about how tha government is fucked up, or about how our government did this and that to sum people over seas. but here'z a serious question: DO YOU GUYZ GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO FIND THESE THINGZ OUT AND POST THEM ON HERE? it sure seemz like it. no offense intended but that'z sum sad shit.

i mean damn, it's koo to dislike our government.... hell i dont like it myself. BUT i refuse to bitch about it on GOM. i see no point in it. i mean yea, a few threadz is koo becuz this is tha Gathering of Minds and all, but 90% of theze threadz are ranting on about our government.

you guyz complain on and on about how it's bullshit, but when you're told to just leave you bring up Freedom of Speech. hello! you dont like our government but you sure as hell are quick to exercise your constitutional rights arent you?

to put it plain and simple, i say FUCK BUSH cuz he'z a fuckin jackass. but you wont catch me surfing tha net trying to find articles about his fuck upz to post here on GOM so my net palz can gather up with me and complain in order to make Bush look worse and worse. does it make you guyz feel THAT good to bash Bush and tha government as much as you do? doez it ease your tensionz? wut'z tha deal fellaz?

you guyz seem to take it overboard....
Some do go out their ways to find these articles, but that only gives me more respect for them. The best way to strengthen your argument is by bringing in support.

Now on your comment about leaving if we don't like the government, I disagree. America was not found on the principle "if you don't like it then leave". The beauty about America is that if you don't like what the higher ups are doing we can speak out about it. If your driven and fed up with what is going on around you theirs the possibilty that you can do something to change it. That is what the blacks, whites, latinos etc did during the civil rights movement. In some countries if you speak out against the government you can get chopped the fuck up. A reporter in Congo got his head shaved with an old blade, whipped 100 times, and dumped in a cell with food to eat once every 2 days. That was all because he made a comment about the Congolese army.
