With everything that's been going on as of late in the world around us, I can't help but wonder about our realities, what goes on and why things happen how they do. As I was thinking about things, an interesting question came up regarding religion and what the bible describes as the tree of life and knowledge.

Could that tree of life possibly be a marijuana plant? I was able to make sense of it in the fact that when certain strains are consumed, it's safe to say that what goes on while one is high is more remarkable, as most users should know.

The fact that God told Adam and Eve not to consume from that tree could be interpreted as a way to keep mankind ignorant so the churches could stay in power, thus keeping a hold on those who follow them.

I thought this would be interesting for discussion.

The bible describes two different trees not one.

No, marijuana would be the burning bush (pun/sarcasm.)

The fact that God told Adam and Eve not to consume from that tree could be interpreted as a way to keep mankind ignorant so the churches could stay in power, thus keeping a hold on those who follow them.
So are you saying God said don't do it so mankind can be ignorant and controlled or are you saying God said don't do it so mankind can't be ignirant and controlled?

Without consumption from the tree how would you feel people would be willing to make choices in life? How do you know that wasn't the intention all along or why would god create adam and eve so curious in nature...

cannabis is a plant - not a tree
As if trees aren't plants....

Cannabis sativa is a grass, to use the "educated layman classification" of the plant kingdom (if you're wondering what the "uneducated layman classification" is, it is is things that can be eaten and things that can't)

More accurately, it belongs to the Cannabaceae family, Urticales order, Magnoliopsida class, and Magnoliophyta phylum/division

But I doubt many people are interested in its accurate place in the real tree/web of life

Which brings me to why I entered this thread:

The only tree of life that has ever existed, and it does so only metaphorically because in the base of its trunk, it is a web and not a tree, is this:

I've always wondered why the tree of life existed in the first place if Adam and Eve were initially immortal. Or was their immortality dependent on them regularly eating from that tree?
It is amazing how people will be so willing to spend their intellectual energy debating the outputs of the mental masturbations of some desert nomads that lived 5000 years ago....

Buy a bigger screen

And my "huge graphic" (which is huge because if it isn't, it won't be readable) is the only meaningful thing is this thread

Your huge graphic has ruined this page. Thanks.
He does it on purpose, and then when it is called to his attention, he tells you to buy a bigger screen. I know because he's done the same thing to me. IMHO, the mod of this forum (or the site in general) needs to cap the size/dimensions of posted images.

uh, no, I don't do it on purpose, it is just that the image is big

and it is big because it has a lot of information on it that will be lost/difficult to understand if it is small

and in this case I told him to buy a bigger screen because he doesn't appreciate what I said, not because I really mean it
