oh Lord, how do you people not know about what happend with Dre?????????????? from what i have read he did 5 in Lompoc for "talking" about the bank robberies in the v around that time. he has talked about it plenty on his cd's since then. do y'all listen to the words or just the beat???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
on the flip side, his boy, coolio the unda dog, actually did robb banks and got caught, he did 5 years too, not sure what prison tho.

the time that mac dre did was due to the fact that he was being survellanced by the Feds for bank robberies. They saw the Romp Room Gang as a set that would rob alot of places in the Valley Jo area. I guess Mac Dre did a concert in Fresno. NE ways he was back in the bay and one day he thought he would pay some hoes a visit he met while doing a concert in Fresno. While on his way overhere he was being followed by the feds. Him and his homie got a room at the telly. His homie went to do dirt and Dre stayed to do what macs do with a girl at the telly. The feds caught his homie and wanted dre to snitch dre didnt, so he did five years.
I read that article from Dres homie he got busted with, he wrote it from prison and spoke on the subject. On "back in the Hood" cd thats why it starts off with dre saying he is in a Fresno County jail. and on the beggening of "Lifes a bitch" on Stupid Doo Doo Dumb it says he is locked up in Fresno.
