Unless im blind...it only has an article on there about the sales in JAPAN...and its a 6-1....but whos shocked by that?Japan is the only place on EARTH...where Nintendo is still the shit....good for them!
Again...show me...i dont see any figures for the US...
That very same website reported that the DS out sold the PSP by a ratio of 3 to 1 during the previous holiday season here in the US.
According to the website, the DS outsold the PSP in Japan at a ratio of 6 to 1 during that same time. (3 to 1 during the entire year).
My point is that in Japan, the DS is wiping the floor with the PSP.
Read the magazines, visit the websites; Japanese gamers are picking the Nintendo Wii as their next console of choice.
And in my honest opinion, the Wii is going to dominate the Japanese market according to the numbers we're seeing.

PS2=$300
GC=$150
But by all the Nintendo geeks statements...cheaper is better...right?
Well Nintendo's user base does consist of younger gamers than the PS2 and Xbox user bases. So $$$ are much more of a concern to them.
However the point I was trying to make is that the reason why most gamers chose the PS2 over the cheaper Gamecube, aside from the obvious bigger choice of games line up; is that the PS2 was still affordable at it's highest price point of $300.
Remember that the original Playstation launched at that same price point, so $300 for a console is nothing new to gamers.
Hell M$ was stretching it with a $400 Xbox 360 (even though they offered a strip down version for $300). Sony is banking that at $500, they can still sell PS3's like hot cakes. That "might" work if M$ decides to fuck it all up and release a bunch of shitty games this holiday season. But that's not the case, there are some big name titles coming out for the X360 at around the same time the PS3 is supposed to launch. And there after as well.
Point I'm tryin to make here is that M$ is going to offer something compelling as a cheaper alternative to the PS3.
It's no longer "the Sony machine" has ALL the triple AAA titles while its competitors have a few AAA titles here and there.

Trends are meant to be broken...this is a new age of gaming my friend...
Well that remains to be seen.
So far the biggest thing Sony has got going for them is 3rd party support.
But in my opinion, they no longer have the consumer.
At this point it's all speculation in our parts, but we shall see how it really unfolds this fall....

Advanced machines like the PS2...has intrigued the "casual gamer" as you so speak of...becuase of technology advancements...and also from rappers puttin them in their cars for the coolness factor....u dont see Ludacris with a GC in his trunk do ya?
I can't speak for rappers since they tend to just follow what ever trend is in effect.
But as far as technology and casual gamers go,
go and say that to the now defunct 3DO company.
Remember them?

And?It hasnt been for awhile....I got all the GTA games on BOTH consoles...
That's why I said "time" based exclusive.

It all comes down to preference on little things on this consoles...like CONTROLLERS....how many people need to bitch about the XBos controller before they change it?NOBODY liked that clunky piece of shit...even the "smaller" version was a bit much...
Oh so it comes down to controllers now?
So what does that say about PS2 owners? That they have smaller hands?
Well you know what they say about guys with small hands
Seriously, it's about the games man.
Come on now, you know that.

Look people...i LIKE Sony....theyve have never done me wrong with ANYTHING ive EVER bought from them...especially the PS1 & 2....so why would I jump ship for a "wand"????Seriously....how many of these "casual gamers"...who most likely are STONERS as welll....are gonna wanna get loaded and wave a fuckin wand around????Probably not very many!!!!
They've always had strong 3rd party support, hence why they had the biggest exclusive titles.
But that's no longer the case, especially if my speculation is correct.
If indeed Sony fails to capture the next gen market and splits it with M$ at best.
Hypothetical question, what are you going to do when the Playstation brand is no longer the console with the biggest titles?
Oh Coy!Ocerto said:
Another thing is...this shit is ALL speculation!!!!!No one knows SHIT...until this all happens...so maybe we should all shut the FUCK up....and let the hardware do the talking...we are just kickin our opinions around...some people want the gay paperweight known as the Wii....others want the overpriced PS3....and some own the middle-of-the-road-cant-quite-get-over-the-hump 360...
Exactly, it's all speculation as I said before....
However some Sony fanboys run around as if the sky is falling when ever anyone sounds off the alarm that Sony's market dominance is in jeopardy
Have a nice day,
