A third party developer (or is it Nintendo?) created and owns the rights to the rumble pack thing. Sony didn't want to pay the licensing fee so they developed the PS3 without it. They felt the six axis tilt thing was the wave of the future and that rumble was "old gen".

One mistake along the lines of many

No no, there is a company called immersion that owns the patent for combining rumble with motion detection. Sony ran into legal issues with them and didnt include rumble in the controller because of that. So they tried to say rumble was a last generation thing. then they settled their lawsuit with immersion and then announced that rumble would make its return.

Sorry fanboy, I'm just providing information regarding new releases for the PS3.
What i meant is that if they are on both systems not all that great for sony how many of them are only going to be for the PS3 the reason for having any system is exclusive games and like most guys in this forum i already have a xbox 360 why should i spend 6 bills to get a system if the games are coming out on both and blu-ray is not a good enough reason.

I never said, or implied any of that fanboy. I'm not here to argue what system is better (I can care less how much loyalty people have to giant corporations), I simply provided data regarding new releases for the PS3. Nothing more, nothing less.

lol at this thread for turning into a rumble feature for the ps3. anyways rumble is a big feature, remember when nintendo 64 sold that rumble pack, that was a big thing at the time and big enough for every system since then to feature rumble feedback. you dont notice it untill its gone, then you relize you spent 600 bucks on a console that doesnt support one of the best features created for games over the last 10 years.

nobody is saying that the ps3s lack of rumble is going to be the deciding factor on whether or not theyre gonna purchase one, but it is ONE of the many flaws the PS3 has, and contributes to a buyers decision.
Actually, it IS ONE of the reasons....so in a sense...it is a REASON not to buy it.

If you think rumble doesnt matter, play Gears of War with rumble on and then play without it, HUGE DIFFERENCE
I KNOW rumble doesnt matter.

Like i said, i dont give two flying fucks about having a goddamn "rumbling controller" in my hand...shit is ANNYOING as FUCK...how hard is that for people to understand?

jesus christ there are some hard headed ass people in this muthafuckin forum.

Funny, cus I NEVER used the rumble pack and no one I knew had it or even cared to get it.
