PS3 Games! (more hype vs games)

hopefully they come out wit better games. so far i aint see shit with all that new techonology they were promoting.
the name "sony", i thought was gona be good since cause they have good reputation. i havent lost faith though.
war hawk looks like its gona be tight. i dont really like the colors on 360. i think over time, ps3 will catch up or pass that system. sony be in the market to win

Playstation 3 not going to have any good games out until the end of the year but what is still weak is no rumble on the controlers and no headset except the ones made for the PS2. And the online is way behind the xbox live. So far for the money you dont get much (blu-ray) but in 6 months to a year the investment might pay off if the games are there.
I work in the game industry man, I'm tellin you, developers prefer to work with the 360 because it's easier. This will result in a lot of exclusives for Xbox in the future because the machine isn't a pain in the neck to work with.
It takes longer to develop for PS3 which means longer time between games and even longer time between good games gor Sony.
The price of the system is what's killing Sony in the marketplace. Until they drop that price, they won't catch up to the Wii, let alone the 360.

peete you work for xbox? you dont think ps3 gona stick around? i heard when ps2 came out it was the same, no games in market. then overtime it become pretty hot when all the games started coming out. i read online that ps3 is hard to create games on, i didnt konw the rumor was true.
the blu-ray disc.. i dont think the video stores adapted to that cause they still mostly have dvd. i thought the format was gona change. i think u need a HD tv to watch that anyway?

I work for 2KSports and we develop for both systems. I'm not saying the PS3 won't stick around, I'm just saying that the 360 is a better value right now and probably will be in the long run.
Sony was counting on the blu-ray to help sell the system but it doesn't look like people give a flying hootenanny about blu-ray. You definitely need a HD TV to take advantage of what blu-ray has to offer.

Thats not the point. The point is, people keep briging up the fact that one of the reasons the PS3 sucks or isnt worth the price, is that it doesnt have a rumble pack. If that is even a secondary reason for you NOT to buy a system, then youre a fucktard.
What is so damn special about a stupid "shakng" feature, which is more of a DISTRACTION and doenst draw you into a game ANYMORE than if your controller stood still? Seriously? Does it make one feel like they are "in" the game?

i know when my controller vibrates i feel like i am right there shooting zombies in person.its a little taste of reality that puts video games over the top for me. you dont know who much when i played football growing up that one day we would have the technology to recreate the vibration sensation in my hands when i tackled somebody

Rumble is just another tool at the disposal of developers to use just like graphic tricks or sound effects. When used correctly it doesn't detract from the game at all.
In NBA 2K7 :lick: , when you're on the free throw line in a close game, we give you a little rumble in a heartbeat rhythm to make the moment more tense. In that other basketball game, they use the rumble to warn you just before you commit a 5 second or 8 second violation.

I just think its a dumbass reason NOT to buy a console...are you kidding me? OK, it doesnt have it...big fuckin whoop. If someone is relying so heavily on a weenie ass feature, then maybe these folks need to step out of the house and get some sun....seriously.

nobody is saying that the ps3s lack of rumble is going to be the deciding factor on whether or not theyre gonna purchase one, but it is ONE of the many flaws the PS3 has, and contributes to a buyers decision.
If you think rumble doesnt matter, play Gears of War with rumble on and then play without it, HUGE DIFFERENCE

Why thats the question why doesnt it have it? And that not the reason i wouldnt buy a PS3 like Home-E said its just one of many dumbass things sony has done up to this point with the PS3. Im most likely going to buy one before novemeber cuz thats when Socom 4 is coming out but they still have a thin line up of major title in the near future. And the lack of exclusive games is not helping.
