That 650 might not be 650 in his pocket, it might be a budget for 2 albums that he would have to pay all the costs on. In the end he might be owing them money, like what happens to alot of these rappers.

yeah, but you know def jam will promote you...promotion = album sales = concerts & licensing = $$$

and if he does get dropped he'll be able to go back to independant after his album already dropped and have more fans willing to buy his shit
