Anyone who knows anything on the subject of sustainability and human population increases knows that we have too many people in this world. The way they are reproducing, too, it's just too much.

What are our options at this point?

Mass killings?

State-Sponsored "child police"?

Bombs that harm only humans and leave plants and animals intact?

Abortion en masse.

Liberals and other population controlists are going to shit a brick of Roe v Wade is overturned, not because it infringes on "women's rights", but because larger families usually = more religion, usually = more Republican votes. And if that happens, they'll NEVER get back in power.......

LOL...I think they're more worried about more hungry children, with less schooling, and no healthcare.

China had an effective model some years back. It was actually the exact opposite of a welfare system. Familes were allowed one child, any childbirth in excess of this resulted in a State Fine.

oh yeah, I almost forgot. Tadou, shut up...

The earth can easily sustain the billions we have on this planet and even more. What it CAN'T sustain is the rampant commericalism and culturally wasteful society this type of system has created. No need for population control. What we need to do is check our waste outputs and curve the destruction of the planet that is taking place on every populated nation on eart,

The actual problem is that we artificially increase the bodily needs. Otherwise, sustainability wouldn't be a problem. I read that the entire world's population (using the 6 billion figure in 1999) could fit and comfortably live in the state of Texas. It showed how every person would have 1,217 sq. ft. of space to live. A family of five would thus have over 6,000 sq. ft. That is if we used the entire state of texas in this way.

The solution to unwanted population is to stop having sex when we're not ready to have a child. This is the obvious answer but the hardest for most people to accept. When we are constantly bombarded by sexual imagery in media and advertising as well as the implications that an active sexual lifestyle is a bodily necessity, it is hard to give up illicit sex.

Personally I would seriously consider imposing a law where families cannot have more than two kids, but on the other hand I think I side with n9newunsixx5150 & MEXICANCOMMANDO and agree that the world is big enough for the 6Billion+. It’s the shit conditions and failure of capitalism to feed and shelter these people which is the real issue.

check out the spaces you live in.....

not only do have a house or apartment...you have the streets you drive through....the stores you go to....the job you have to work in....the friends house where you hang out...the restuarants you dine in....that's alot of space for one person...let's not forget the skys or the boats we float in. humans are able to live on earth, solar system, the moon, and under water ....CAN'T is not part of the human experience in my book.

we can always improve our social expectations to work with the land....but once we contaminate land we're limiting our roaming space and environmental value of the land.

What the fuck are you talking about it's always been a right, isn't it American Conservatives who are framing it as an "immoral crime"? BTW its ridiculous the right to abortion DOES NOT infringe on anyone's rights so why should it even be considered a crime? Is that not an exact opposite example of true (notice lowercase "R" as in the idealist philosophy not the fake political party) republicanism?

Uhhh.......don't care.

Abortion is legal, not because it's a "right", but to keep population numbers low, especially among the poor (see: unproductive) classes. They are taught from birth, "If you have kids, you're going to be poor your whole life!" and are subject to other scare tactics. It is despicable.

If you have kids, you will have less money. That's common sense. Anyone who thinks otherwise should have been sterilized at birth. Abortion is not a crime. It's a part of life. If you make it illegal, there WILL be people who resort to coat hangers and other unsanitary/bad methods. Most people shouldn't have kids anyway, cause they're fucking horrible parents and don't understand how to raise a child...And I don't feel that class or race has shit to do with that.

Come again, W.D.? Abortion is verily the greatest genocide on poor populations in YEARS...CENTURIES, even!

There's a difference between telling you you'll have less money (common sense), and convincing people they'll be forever poor and never able to improve their lives (scare tactics).

uhhh i think you all are looking at this the wrong way. Instead of abortion ( which i am por- abortion, not our place to say anything) but I think there should be forced sterilizations for people who are constantly in court and having their kids taken awayfrom them.

My mom works for a family lawyer and I have heard of cases where the court will take one child away and they will just have another thinking that the court will eventually let them keep them, instead of not doing meth. One case the courts took away 7 kids in like a 5 or 6 year span. as soon as the court took one away she would be pregnat again.
