Except Akon actually sings. T-Pain is just electronic r&b; about as good a singer as Ashley Simpson. In my opinion, Akon is becoming this generations Nate Dogg. Not there yet, but soon.
nowadays they make every hook that has singign on it so wack that it's better not to have singing at all I think; it doesn't matter whether you put Akon, T-Pain or whoever garbage ass singer you want on it, it always sound like some gay ass pop song
99% of the new material I like has no singign on it
just my personal opinion, but if you compare the hooks 12 years ago and today, they all had some good melody that was actually tight back then and they are all shitty now
^^^it was proven in a study, that the most popular and catchy songs, are simple and repetitive. Therefore, people like Akon, T-Pain, etc, all can continue with there shit and sell millions. Im with you though, fool is overrated.
I like most of his collabs with rappers, i think i'd grow tired of dude if i was to buy his album though. Didn't he do that Mr Lonley song? that shit was kinda annoying. The cut with Styles, Jeezy and Obie Trice were all nice though
