Sony nerd says
"what has happened is that they did not program the hidden PS3 internal clock for leap years. I .E. this year, so it does not match up with the Visible PS3 Clock and has thus reverted to 1999. They are hoping that this issue simply fixes itself once the other clock rolls over to march.
This is funny as they say everything will be fixed by (the date it should theoretically roll over). If it does not then we have a huge problem. There is an unconventional fix, however, it ill void your warranty. I say wait to see if the problem fixes itself. Then depending on what Sony says, we will be unplugging the battery inside our PS3's and it is a confirmed fix."
like wha i dont wanna take apart my ps3 lol, prolly wont have to tho
