I teared up watching that movie. lmao.
I took care of my grandma when I was 17, and I worked as a caregiver for a year and a half before I went to college.
The part that got me was the part when the old dude lifts off with the balloons.
It reminded me of all the pain and limitations old people feel. I had 5 or 6 old people tell me they wanted to die, and they had been wanting to die for years. Many of them got little or no visits or attention from family members. Most of the time the immediate family is a bunch of vultures hovering around waiting for death.
Suicide is common among older people. For many growing old is a lonely, terrible experience. Some of the people I worked with gave me money or gifts. Some left money for me in their wills. Its really sad to see so many loving, caring people dying old, weak, in pain, and alone.
Old people also are no longer respected. You see them portrayed as a joke on TV. Usually its some sex-crazed granny or some funny looking old man in plaid pants getting pushed down stairs or some shit. That sounds kinda funny but it really is fucked up. It's like they're a joke.
Youngsters even act like little bitches swearing around them and bumping into them and not even giving them respect.
That part where dude's house goes up is like I imagined all those people I knew breaking free of all the bullshit that comes with old age. It really is different for the elderly these days.
Anyways thats about as emo as I get on the Siccness. Fuckin little kids movie has hella people talkin about crying. lmao
