I agree with the fact that ...number one. Rap is a business....not we are the world..lets unify and hold hands and sing Kumbiya. If I was an artist with a little bit of a name and had a chance of doing somethin being friends with people, and makin new friends aint a priority, unless it benefited my career, and I would be trying to make friends with those who can sign checks, not those waiting in a soup line.
It would be nice if everything was cool between people. As was stated earlier...So and so doing a song with such and such..is on some rap shit. Rap dont dictate whats happening on the streets...so what ya want your favorite artists to be a community activist or a rapper. If you doing your best at trying to become either you cant do both, each one should consume your time.
Also it is hard for people to change. Change dont come easy especially when shit has been engrained in your mind since you was young. How can you shake hands with your brothers killer? Yeah alot of us get older and wiser, but as history demonstrates ..the young fill the position we was once in, now they fill the gap that you moved from.
Personally I dont give a fuck about another artist featuring on an Album. If I buy a Mitch album its because I want to hear mitch...not Lil John, or Kanye West. Its cool to have features if it makes sense for the song,or artist...but to do it to to please a handful of people is some local Fam bam mentality.
