Also somethin to keep in mind is gettin a 800 number and use it as voicemail. That way you have a toll free number for out of state folks and don't have to worry about the bullshit involved with havin your direct line called 50,000 times a day

Avoiding wasting time on bullshit is all in the way you manage the flow of the call. Within the first couple minutes after you find out what service they're needing, give them an obligation to email you their contact info, links to things they have online, myspace url etc.

If they email you, follow up. If not, you only spent a minute or 2.

In my opinion if I get a business card without a phone number it's a red flag. I want to be able to reach someone if I'm doing business with them and find out what the fuck's going on. As a courtesy, I also extend that availability to my clients.

For the printing: psprint.com - dope prices, dope quality, dope service - based in oakland.

I agree with Tosin and Qwasian on this. You really wouldn't want to deal with the hassle of it. You have individuals that mistake your phone number for being a chatline number, instead of a business number.

I'm just throwing this out there..

But what you all need to do is pool your resources, hire 1-2 pure sales guys that are paid primarily on commission, get an 800 number with different extensions and have the closed clients routed to you after they've paid..

The sales guys weed through the bullshit and the legitimate work gets passed on to you. You work under 1 name and split the work coming in..

My 2 cents..

This is a great idea.
Where's a great place to get 1800 toll free voicemails? If there's any for free, I'd like to know about those too.

your supposed to give your business card to ppl you intend to do business with and you don't give them out freely... I have my # on mine, I get the annoying calls but I also can let them goto voicemail. Like someone said earlier its alot of ppl that STILL don't know how to use a pc or email.
