Yea, I just put it on my Ipod. Will check it out today and tomorrow during my workout. I know its late, but I hope he can obtain some type of success from his album. Its been a long time coming and I respect him as an emcee. One thing I can for sure count on from Pap are metaphors and thoughtful lyrics. Looking forward to giving it spins.

too little too late, most ppl prolly wont even bother DLing it

he had a lot personal stuff going on that's what held him back. this a fresh new recorded album and not the one he recorded in 2007 for jive. but I can careless on how many people download or buy it all I care about is the music and I'm glad this finally dropped.

Disagree. If youre dope, youre dope and people will check for you regardless. Those who care about the music dont care about "whats hot", they care about what sounds good to their ears, and shouldnt give a shit what others think about what they listen to.

im checking it out now. Papoose is dope. IMHO.

I agree..I never not checked out an artist who I thought was tight, just because they waited too long to release. If they are tight then they are tight, whether they release tomorrow or 3 years from now.

Disagree. There are lots of dope artists that will always be dope but that will never be successful. I think we can all agree that being dope in no way means someone will be successful any more than being successful means someone is dope. When you have a chance to ride the wave you better take it because another one might never come.

That has nothing to do with how dope an artist will be, only with how successful they will be.

I could be wrong but Pap missed his wave IMO.

Naw he def lost most his fanbase by now, rap fans in general are fickle. I meant DLs from ppl all over, not this site since well, theres a lot of deluded stuck in the past fans who hope guys who made a dope album 20 years ago drop a new tape in 2013.

You're a sac rap fan so the above shoe fits, no offense.

My post had nothing to do with being successful. It was simply stating that people will still listen to your music. No offense to Papoose, but i couldn't care less whether he makes it or not. I just like his music.

Success is also subjective. We all have different ideas of what is successful and what isnt. While it may be dictated by the environment, personal success is all in the mind.

how he miss his wave when he got out his deal and kept the two million dollars, he still getting six for a verse and he has shows every week and he be on radio doing interviews, he never changed his style to sell out so he didnt miss too much of a wave he doing better in life then you are. he just dropping his shit indy on his own label so like i said who cares on what his buzz is he still one the best respected lyricsts. he a fulltime father and his wife in prison so he took lots of time off to deal with those issues imo that means he a solid, loyal person with morals. remember family should always be first bc when shit gone they gonna be the only thing you have.

i never understood why regular people always be worried about a rappers success or income when in reality they can sell 1000 copies and still have more money then most people that be commenting on them. to me its about the music not what they have in they pockets.

That's fucking stupid..why do we have to be delusional just because we check for older artists who still make music today? This goes for any fan of an artist that likes more than just 1 or 2 songs of theirs. if they like the artists music, they will check them out, whether it be buying or downloading. Doesn't matter.

I'm not a fan of "Sac Rap"...I like some artists from Sac, just as I do NY, San Diego, ATL, LA, etc. Its about the artists and who I feel or felt made dope music over the years. I have followed Pap's mixtapes all these years and have enjoyed them for the most part, so in my mind I am checking out an artist I actually like, who still drops dope music, so why wouldn't I check out his album, no matter how long it took to drop? If I don't like his music anymore then I wont listen, but if I liked his last effort or majority of his efforts then I will give him a shot again. Pretty simple concept to me.
