I have an idea. People are asking me for access to the music but I can't do that anymore. I don't want to hasve the shit ripped abd burned 2 months before it drops. But I have an idea. I got SHam to slide me a copy of some of the songs guys came into the studio with. I can make a link onsoundclick (where it cant be downloaded) and let people listen to the same song before and after. It really is a trip.
In other words, guys come into the studio with Dat tapes f\they have paid for and worked on other places. Then Sham gets to tinker with them and slap a new beat, new speed, hell I dont even really know all what he does. I dont sing, rap, produce, nuthin. But I do know that the end result is startling. I'll work on getting that up and running and then I'll post it here or another thread.
I know that if I were an artist, and I saw/heard what he was doing to the music, I would want to get down. The only trouble is that when you're a small independent little group... people want things right away. It has taken time. Its a credit to the artists at Papertrail that they've been willing to wait and believe we will do what we say. Now, though, as the promotions and marketing are infull swing.... they are being rewarded (even though they don't realize it). None of them are on the siccness, they don't know 5150 in Germany, or the different magazines we've put ads in, Hafway House, DEEVEL, or the video people have agreed to shoot (and finance).All they know is.... when is shit comin out, I'm tired of waiting. There is an element of trust there. There has to be.
