i only liked a few songs by him. i don't like how he switched it up so much. he was from new york, so when he came out, he was about that, then he started reppin oakland, then he started reppin L.A., i mean, he never really stayed true to his, plus i think he did alot of shit for publicity. i am postive he did all that shit with big to sell records. and i don't think that is why he died, cause his shit with big, when they jumped that fool in the MGM grand, they were stompin him cause he jacked tray dee. the guy that did it was a crip, the only words pac said to him was, are you from the south? he think he got dealt up by some rips. but on the music shit, he had a few good songs on stricly for my niggas, a couple on me against the world, and like 5 or 6 on all eyes on me. not nearly enough to be the best of all time. he had talent, but he didn't know what he wanted to be. you look at woodie, and there is no denying what he is. personally, i think woodie is far better than 2pac ever was, he has put down much more heat in a shorter amount of time, but he ain't in the worlds eye and shit. woodie is better, not because he is a homeboy, but on raw talent.

i ain't tryna say that he didn't do some shit that takes alot of courage or shit like that. i mean, i lived in oklahoma, and i learned alot there too, but my roots are in cali, always will be. i mean, he lived in oakland by the time that 2pacalypse now came out, and he was still all east coast style wit it, even kinda when scrticly for my niggas came out. then he repped oakland for a minute, then it was like he had lived in LA his whole life, and then never tried to talk about where he had been before that, that's all i am sayin. i mean, nah i have never been shot and shit, some people die from one bullet, or some folks like this scrap up in santa rosa got shot like 19 times in the head, with a .22 rifle and lived, all it did was crack his skull. but i don't like all the scandalous shit he did and he was a fiend for media, that was his fuel for all the stupid shit he did.
and wasn't he in Marin City and not Oakland anyway? I know Digital Underground is from there and shit, but was HE actually staying in the city of Oakland or just claiming? I personally got sick of his LA claiming and shit just because all of a sudden he was on Death Row and it was part of the image. he fronted on that fool for that reason, suge told him to do it, but what he said was are you from the south? as in a crip in LA. i agree with oso. i am from watsonville, but i have lived in oklahoma and santa rosa and new york. the only place that i rep is watsonville, that's it. if i got homeboys in other towns in cali, and some scraps are tryna smash on em, that's a different story, but you wouldn't hear me say this is santa rosa for life! it would be Norte por vida, watsonville is where my roots are planted and if they are still growin, that's where they most likely to do so. also, pac was supposed to be in the menace to society movie. the hughes brothers decided they didn't want him after he kept gettin locked up. so after pac got out he came up to them on the set with a bunch a dood's tryna start some shit with them. one of the hughes brothers grabbed pac in a headlock and was tossin him around and shit, he boys that he brought didn't do shit, yeah, he's a real sav! give me break. the only thing i can really say about pac was i liked his movies and shit. i thought he was a good actor, but that's because he was acting everyday for the media and his boys.

pac lived in baltimore too. I dont think he was a hood hopper though. yeah he screamed LA and Oackland and all that shit but I think ppl miss what he really was. To me at least Pac was a thug. and by thug I mean the underdog, the mothafucka that didnt have shit, the rose that grew from the concrete. he did adapt to his surroundings but he never banged he showed luv though. I do think that he should have never go himself involved with specific gangs. like the fact that he rolled with suge (a blood) and he beat down a crip, which to some ppl atleast may have seemed gangrelated. I remember him atleast as the fool that allowed the E40's, Master p (the drugdealing broke mutha not the soilder), Cbo to gain some recognition. by this I meanhe shifted what the masses listened to in rap. IM not the masses I listen to bay area rap before he went to deathrow its just that by him in the videos and on cds brought some light to underground west coast artist. I think the masses think that if they like him they are hard. these ppl are easily spotted. I liked that fool cuz he put out quality music and straight out talked about enemies.
