Nope, life is mainly just random. Human nature makes us concoct explanations for events after their occurance making it appear like there was some reason for what happened.

We have an attribution bias, we attribute our success to our hard work/skills but our misfortune and fuck ups to 'bad luck' when in reality a lot of it is just down to pure dumb luck.

As far as the Trump example, for every Donald Trump there would be a whole sea of people who were very similar to Trump, with the same attitude and behaviour who failed.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't try and just float through life without any effort, it just means most people need to develop a different strategy to dealing with life. Me personally, i believe in tinkering, trial and error and above all 'luck by exposure'.

No such thing as 'destiny' or some pre-determined plan for all of us before hand.

What are your thoughts about Destiny do you think everything that happens happens for a reason. Now I know the choices you make can kind of control your Destiny but would if you made the other choice? Is everything already planned out by god does he know what choice your going to make before you make it? I've always wondered about this, any other opinions?
