Someone that makes false promises, just like every candidate before them?

I feel you there. Candidates always promise things that they cannot always do. ALL of them do it. This election is no different, but it's funny to see how many times they do it.

Obama is the worst; always spouting about "change," and that's all he has to say! He thinks he can win the White House by offering change, but you know what? BOTH candidates offer change! Neither one is that crazy ass George Bush! The American people have realized this (finally), and want Barack to start telling us what this "change" entails. So, at least he's having to finally tell us his views, and get the message out there now. :eyecross:

What kind of false promises has Obama made?
McCain on the other hand has been the candidate who has been lying in this campaign like saying he will rid washington of lobbyist when most of his campaign managers and friends are or were lobbyists. Or saying the democrats will tax us to death when if you make under 250K you are gettin a tax BREAK.

We won't know unless he wins.

I guarantee both parties made some.

If I'm not mistaken Obama will only actually cut taxes on people making les than 30k who already don't pay much in the way of taxes. He will then let the Bush cuts expire which will indirectly raise taxes on a good chunk of our middle and upper class. His tax "breaks" are simple stimulus checks like Bush has given out a few times.

I could give a fuck about politics and I feel Kirby on the false promises to a large extent with both parties having their negatives

but in this case Obama is without doubt the more promising of the both and would get my vote

IMO McCain is just a red necro on ghost

All i know is that neither candidate, IMO, knows what the hell their doing. I really wanted to see Ron Paul be the Republican candidate, even if his get rid of the irs and no taxes are a bit out there. But i agree, i dont want McCain, this coming from a conservative guy, McCain scares the hell outta me

Hell, even I could do better than Obama and McCain

My ideas:

-Start the damn drilling in Alaska already, find places for offshore drilling that arent in
the gulf coast (hurricanes) and invest in alternative fuels, diminsh the use of all foreign
oil in 5 years.

-Limit the amount of money CEO's, Celebrities, athletes, (aka the wealthy) can have
(Think of all the US money sitting in their bank accounts doing nothing, that could go to
paying for jobs, education, etc. or paying off the nations debt)

-Do away completely with lobbying( after all, business people are american citizens, they should have to go through congressmen, senators just the same as anyone else

-To revive interest in the Democratic process, give tax breaks for those who vote in all
types of government elections for several years

-Reinstate the CCC to make new jobs.

-No welfare benefits for illegal immigrants, if caught, send them to some odd country in africa LOL

- And last but not least, bring our troops home, not just from iraq and afghanistan, but
from other major countries with high concentrations of our troops. ISOLATIONISM:
worry about our own damn problems at home and stop getting involved with the rest
of this fucked up world.

Know its alotta reading, but im bored as fuck

Obama > McCain.

Obama's energy policy is better grounded. Alternative energy sources are my biggest issue and that's the only hope we have for our future. If we offshore drill, we'll see a bit of relief at the tanks in a more immediate sense (2-5 years). Obamas energy plan for investing in renewable alternative energy sources will not see a substaintial impact within the next 10 years. However, our children and our children's children will experience a lot of relief.

I'm a strong military supporter but our presence in Iraq is a collosal fuckup. McCain is more of the same. I know that's a phrase that's been regurgitated entirely too much during this campaign but if you compare policies of McCain to Bush, it's eerily similar.

I would write more but it's kinda pointless. We're all intelligent adults here and can make conscious, well informed decisions on our own. Both candidates definitely have something to offer.

My main reason for not liking McCain is because his left jaw looks like he's been stung by a thousand bee's. I can't stand looking at him.

If I was American I'd vote for the old white guy, just for laughs. All we heard over here when it was Hilary Vs Obama was "will America maybe have a black or woman president!?!"

Nah, old white guy please. Yanks LOVE their old white guys.
