In recent weeks I seen a few post on here about the young brother that was shot down in cold blood by the BART officer. I seen post that many rappers and what not came out to lend thier support in the cause puttin the BART police on blast and making them accountable for at least one of the many lives that have taken or affected.

This is not to be seen, or to come back and post to say what rapper you seen there. This is if you are geniuine in your concern and your effort to right the wrongs that have been done to our communities.

In Oakland this Tuesday (2/17) there will be a Town Hall Meeting 6:30pm
@ 807 27th Street/ San Pablo, Olivet Missionary Baptist Church

There will be a town meeting with leaders from Oakland and the Bay Area, calling for the firing of the Bart Chief of Police, an Independent Citizen review Board, etc......
((((MINISTER FARRAKHAN WILL BE SPEAKING))))

Come and support your community, or you can choose to sit back and do nothing behind your computer screen all day... ACTING like you were in the mix when it really started to get REAL, NO ARM-CHAIR REVOLUTIONARIES, ONLY SOLDIERS NEED APPLY....

For those in SAC... Town Hall Meeting in Del Paso Heights (2/18) @ Robertson Center at 7pm. If you from the Heights, than you know where that is.

Also in Sac, CARAVAN FOR JUSTICE MOVEMENT at State Capitol (2/19) 11am

9 Buses will be coming to the state capitol from all over the Bay Area, with the Valley also coming to support the cause.

No acting like a bitch at any of these events, the FOI will have them all on LOCK.

For more info hit me on the PM

tragik event.

rip. but now this stuff is getting ridiculous. some of these organizations that try and stir the public up is part of the problem, definately not the solution.

before people take my post out of context, i'm all for the cause. the officer was arrested and charged. i definately dont agree with the process but it is what it is. the only defense that could get the officer a manslaughter conviction is what his lawyer is portraying. i expected as much. officers/lawyers protecting officers. the streets protect the streets. is it hard to figure out? trying to go after the chief and others is a dead end imo. the problem is so much deeper than this.

RIP OSCAR GRANT.

Its called grassroots movement Sir. When the community steps up to the plate and speaks out, this is how laws get passed, this is how things change, and how action is predicated. So goes California, so goes the rest of the Nation (U.S. that is...)

History is best rewarded with research. Verify from what happened before that changed our reality and way of life, because a few stood up.

no doubt the public's outcry got the officer charged.

if it had been anyone of us we would have been arrested based on the video. officers investigating officers. what else do we expect to happen? what needs to change is procedure into officer conduct investigations. an outside agency should be investigating these complaints with an unbiased opinion.

we need more grassroot movements in our communities. i hear and am with you.

^^^^THOSE WORDS WE TAKEN RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH. AGAIN WE WAIT TIL A WHITE MAN KILLS A BROTHER THEN WE WANNA ACT. JUST TO FIRE A BART CHIEF. WHAT ABOUT THE CHIEF OF OAKLAND POLICE DEPT. WHO CANT CONTROL THE CITY OF OAKLAND....THE BART IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ONE DEATH, THE POLICE FORCE ALONG WITH THE STREETS OF THE O ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THOUSANDS OF MURDERS, 100 MURDERS A YEAR AVERAGE. BUT WE WANNA FIGHT BART.....WE NEED TO FIGHT FOR CHANGE WITHIN OURSELVES FIRST.

ALSO FARRAKAN OR HOW EVER YOU SPELL HIS NAME. HAVE YOU EVER LISTENED TO HIM SPEAK ON MUSLUM CASSETTE TAPES? HE SPEAKS ABOUT IT BEING OKAY TO BEAT YOUR WIFE. HOW A MANS ROLE IN THE THE HOUSE IS THE DOMINATE ROLE, SO ITS OKAY TO BELITTLE YOUR WIFE. NOW I CANT SAY I HAVENT PUT THAT IN MY RAP, BUT IM NOT TRYING TO BE A POLITICAL LEADER. MY FRIEND IS A MUSLUM, HE PLAYED IT FOR ME. AND MY GRANDMOTHER (76 YRS OLD) WONT EVEN ALLOW ME TO THROW A MUSLUM NEWSPAPER IN THE TRASH INSIDE HER HOUSE. IM JUST SAYIN....

"WE NEED TO FIGHT FOR CHANGE WITHIN OURSELVES FIRST." -408FACTOR

As true as that statement is with poor education in public schools, joblessness, poor health care and prison rates through the roof for both black men and women in the United States there is little being provided to promote growth and change. Change comes from access to the tools needed to build. You can't just give a carpenter a bunch of wood and expect a house- TOOLS ARE NEEDED. The only thing given to poverty riddled people of color is the idea to dream big, but not the reality to put the dream in action.
