I might be wrong, but I think a lot of folks at the U of Oregon, especially scholarship athletes, are from Cali. They call it UC-Eugene for a reason. Many of those cheerleaders may be from NorCal and didn't have grades to get into decent state schools around there and fam had money to send em to Oregon.

I'm from Oregon but have fam in the Bay, and it's not that different than rural Cali, just more white folks. But yeah, Eugene/U of O is a trip, a cool lil hidden West Coast town that cracks pretty good.
