Powder was albino, and he didn't have any ballhair, yet he was played by a caucasian person who had hair not only on his balls (I'd assume) but his head also...

And where's that list of Mexicans who should have been in the movie?

If this is the stupid shit you sit around and complain about, you seriously need a life.

You gotta respect the fact that Rodrigues has used all of his mexican crew to play all the extras and even small supporting roles. Check out the Desperado DVD Directors commentary, he goes through how he went down to Mexico to film and in his first film hired a crew that had no movie experience at all.

Also, Depp plays one of the coolest CIA agents I've ever seen in a film. Did you guys catch his Yo quiro Taco Bell shirt?

I actually only saw the flick when I was like 12, and I don't need to deny what is so clearly a sad attempt at an insult when you clearly don't know anything about me personally, other than I'm the guy who made you a bitch.

Not that you'd be a bitch forever, but in this thread you're clearly on the leash.

Melo's right, zero is a typical white hollywood piece of shit. It's about giving back to your community whenever possible. There were several possibilities in this movie to cast mexican americans who have skill as actors/actresses but are held back because of thick accents.

Willem Dafoe is not a box office draw, why he was cast as the mexican arch-villain with an assinine accent just doesn't register.

You're white, and you fucking peckerwoods are networked wherever you go whether you see it or not. Minorities need to start networking and giving eachother opportunities whenever possible in order to generate income, thus raising the standard of living, thus raising the educated citizenship, thus raising the statuts of that particular community. Since you fucking crackers are already at the top of the food chain hiring eachother - it's not a big deal to you.

Fuck you.

If you haven't seen this movie yet--do yourself a favor and wait until it comes out on dvd. There is no continuity to the story whatsoever. Shit, it almost seemed like a collection of skits that were loosely connected to make a full movie. Sure, there's violence and some explosions, but nothing new, and the horrible plot makes all that unenjoyable. The only thing I liked was Cheech's retelling of the "EL" story where everthing is exaggerated, which was intended to be corny/funny. Overall, I'd give this movie a 2/10. It's nowhere near the quality of El Mariachi or Desperado.

I'm still curious what Mexican actors should have been used that would have brought in the same amount of money...

Since you fucking crackers are already at the top of the food chain hiring eachother - it's not a big deal to you.
You're obviously racist, but it won't matter to anyone here who isn't white, and those people don't count because they're "crackers".

This whole thing is stupid. Where were all of you when Val Kilmer played Doc Holliday in Tombstone... He wasn't a real cowboy. And Eddie Murphy played a black scientist when the original was played by a white person. Did white America complain, or did they just go see the movie?

Why couldn't they get a guy with real scissor-hands to play Edward Scissorhands?

Get some fuckin' lives...
