i know how you feel. walmart is FAR from dying, in fact, we are doing more sales then ever (in my store at least) because of the shitty economy. we are projected to do like 450K in sales saturday...

Walmart is some crazy shit, that security guard in NY getting trampled to death because some greedy motherfuckers gotta get their 32 inch HD tv for 400 dollars or some shit like that. I work in a little organized gamestop that might end up doing like 15k on Sat. I like being in a place that serves one purpose rather than a gargantuan store that sells tons of shit. The thing about gamestop is that in management, its the most hands on job. The manager doesnt just kick back and oversee everything, we literally have to do everything and then some.

was actually a walmart door greeter that was trying to hold the doors from collapsing. it didn't work. we had one of our overnight employees die of a heart attack about a month ago while he was on the clock.

I work retail at Dick's, and it fucking sucks. My hours are cut all to hell...only workin' two to three days a week. I mean, I hate the job and don't wanna be there, because retail sucks, but i still want my hours.

Be thankful you have a job. I was laid off a couple weeks back, with absolutely no warning. I mean, that's how shit goes, but I'm not able to give back to my family tangibly, and it bothers me a little. Jobs are so fucking scarce around here and the unemployment market is flooded with thousands of others just like me trying to get a little cash for the holidays. It's no dice, though, because the government didn't expect so many job losses and it's created a back up effect in the unemployment check distribution.

my walmart has too many open shifts that need filling. picked up a few myself and will now be working 8 of the next 9 days, 9 hours each day. preparing myself for after christmas when they cut everyone's hours to 2 days a week. come march, im dropping walmart to sat/sun mornings only, and going back to installing office furniture for $12 an hour 5 days a week. that way i can still get the profit sharing that walmart does (working 10-15 hours a week, the quarterly payout that i would have gotten for the 3rd quarter would have been about $200-$250 extra in my check, can't argue with that).

I played back in September, badasssss shit. I got play quite a few games like street fighter 4, killzone 2, prototype, a bunch of other games too i cant even remember.

I used to go to therealtechn9ne.com to get to the siccness just to check it out. All I gotta say is that doesn't happen anymore, I liked it better not being updated for 3 months at a time or however long it was.
