I remember the reports saying he and some folks were driving back from reno, supposedly drunk and they crashed the whip. This is a first I heard of Vasco rd.

According to the CHP, just before the crash, Ronald Fields, 33, of San Francisco, allowed his 2002 Chevy Impala to drift toward the right shoulder of eastbound Camino Diablo, east of Vasco Road.
