Anyways, I think this new album is CRAP. He's gone down hill with every album since Balance and Options. He might have gotten someone better to write his lyrics, but now he's resorted to making bottom-of-the-barrel, dime-a-dozen beats that really have no musical soul to them.-
I have to totally disagree with everything youre saying here, but opinions are like assholes, right? Cmon guys, am I really that off-base with this one. I think this shit is just as good, if not better, than Safe & Sound. Somebody gotta feel me on that one.

^^^^ Same here I think the album is coo as hell. I'm a huge fan of Quik but I never let that get in the way of my opinion of an album. In fact I was disapointed with UDI and loved Balance n Options. I give it a thumbs up. It's bad that Quik and Suga Free aint workin together no more because they made great music together. Hopefully Suga Free can get it together and maybe make some more good shit with Saccs and J Steez.

on a side note, i still listen to Safe + Sound and Rhythm-Al-Ism ritually... these albums bring tears of joy to my eyes
I feel you 100% on this.

I havnt swooped Trauma yet, what ive heard from it is tight tho. The production sounds so clean and crisp...

I think that people just aren't used to hearing actual MUSIC nowadays. With everything sounding so computerized or sampled right now, the live, funky sound doesn't seem to be as appealing as it used to be.

This album is tight if you ask me. Somethin is wrong with you if you don't like 'Indiscretions in the Back of a Limo', 'Black Mercedes' or 'Fandango'. Quik, being a musical dude will lose a lot of todays consumers because like I said earlier, the majority of the music that's coming out right now isn't really musical - it's more percussive.

2 Thumbs Up!

I've been listening to Quik a long time....... from the begining of his "major" career. Born and Raised in Compton..... "classic" Way to Fonky..... decent sophomore project i still knock "America's Most Complete Artist! Safe & Sound..... "WOW" the production on that one was undeniable. Then came Rythmalism..... Believe it or not I felt that album alot. That shit was hella different from anything I'd ever heard. We Still Party, Speed, I'm not a Gangsta, Down Down Down ect... Balance & Options..... I dug that one too I think that was the lesser of all his albums but it had a few knocks on it. Under The Influence..... I was on that tough. Trouble was tight, Get Loaded was my favorite. Now we finally have "Trauma" which I've known about for a lil under a year now. Again it sounds different from anything I've heard with the exception of the Dre factor, but who doesn't have a dre factor he the largest selling rap producer of all time! Right now I'm feelin Until Jesus Comes, The limo confessions joint and that one with Chingy I forgot the name. Believe me its worth the buy because I can't stand Chingy and somehow I can tolerate him enough to listen to the whole song. The problem nowadayz is everybody likes all this "Microwave Music" that all sounds the same and talks about the same shit. Rap doesn't has "Music" in it anymore. Everything is some loud ass synth sound with a simple ass drum pattern and everybody says it's the tightest shit. Quick remains underrated and unparralled by keepin the "music" in it.

With all the mixed reviews, i said im gonna give it a chance, and not surprisingly i was disapointed, not sayin this is a bad product, but just not my style, but i have to let it be known that the track with ludacriss BLEW MY MUTHAFUCKING MIND. The beat, i mean, oh man, i never thought hed put something like that out again, Quik gets much props for that 1 track i listen to on trauma.

Lets be real this album is decent at its best. Saying its Phenominal is over doing it. IMO this isn't his best album it has a weird feel to it like something is missing. Its not wack though its average he stepped his flows up on it.
