Well I correctly predicted the house would take 2/3 odds on the NFL opener last night, unfortunately I did not predict the correct 2/3 and lost my money line bet on the Bare naked ladies

I did learn a very valuable gambling lesson: I saw where the sharp money was and didn't even know I was looking at sharp money. Two days ago, the percentage of money on GB Spread, GB Money Line, and under were >90%. By 8a yesterday, the Bears were favorites by bettors in both SP and ML. Also, the O/U became more centered, meaning the joes started piling in on the over and the Bears. All things being equal, the sharps made out on all 3 lines and the casinos took 2/3.

The sharps hit soft lines early.

Hope everyone had a good Week 1 NFL betting so far.

Some data:

Out of the 14 contests from Thursday and Sunday, the away team was 9-4-1 Against The Spread (ATS). The house did quite well on the ATS column, if you look at the differentials in money placed. Two games tonight.

This was basically the only Steeler that could really get to Brady. W/O him not sure what the blitz or rush will look like. This is good for Seattle and so is having Clowney. Because of Clowney the weak secondary will improve and progress. Will have to review lines before betting this game.

This was coo for a little side play. Unfortunately the Celtics blew my NBA parlay by literally having the winning shot roll off the rim at end of game. Fortunately weren't my only two bets of day/weekend and actually had another 50% profit on total bets for the weekend again. As a Joe, a 20% profit day is a good day, anything greater is a great day imo as the house is happy with a 10% gain (how odds are cut). Overall the last location I went got hit hard in the sportbook, the bettors took the casino for a +$28000 on the day

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A sportsbook bettor in Las Vegas has given themselves their own $100,000 Christmas present.


A customer at the William Hill sportsbook inside the Casino Royale, located on Las Vegas Boulevard, turned a $5 wager into a $100,000 jackpot when he went a perfect 15-for-15 on the William Hill $100K parlay card.


The San Francisco, Calif., resident successfully picked 15 Week 16 selections that included the Broncos -7, Raiders +6, Falcons -7, Saints -3, over 51 points in the Saints/Titans game, Giants +2, Jets +3, Dolphins -1, Colts -7, Ravens -10, Eagles +3, under 46 points in the Cowboys/Eagles game, Cardinals +10, Chiefs -5, and Packers +4.

This winning wager was placed on Dec. 22, less than an hour before the first matchup on the parlay card kicked off, and was an official winner after the Packers defeated the Vikings Monday night.
