LOL @ 176K being a flop. Seems like a lot of you guys expect every rap album to move off the shelves like Get Rich Or Die Trying...

176K first week is not shabby at all, with one single out.

I still buy CDs but only quality classics & a sh!tload of underground/indie...

I am a music librarian with well over a 1000 cds & still counting................

I am the same, I still buy everything that drops thats worth picking up. I've bought 5 CD's in the last week. I wonder if its illegal downloading or the fact that most CD's are garbage which is causing poor sales? Back when there was records and tapes a person could copy thier friends tape instead of buying it. Nobody takes that into consideration when talking about the decline in music sales...

176K is great for most rappers but not if your name is Diddy and you run Bad Boy

its the fact that most people used to buy Albums for the singles or videos they heard and like, but now with mixtapes they have the singles for months before the album release so they say fuck it and pass the album up.

not only that its the internet mayne, and also lets face it, some people are puttin out weak projects as well...
if the internet was thriving like it is 10 years ago when music was good, they would still be in the same predicament imo
