There's been a lot of questions and inquiries about photography as of late. People asking what kind of cameras to buy, what kind of lighting/studio equipment to purchase, camera settings (shutter speed/aperture), etc. As we know, photography is a game thats not that easy to get into. Not like graphics, where u can download software and get started. Way more work, especially financially.
So, this is where people can come and ask questions about photography and hopefully the veterans will share their knowledge with the newcomers.

Keep the negativity/arguments/shit talking out of this thread.

Maybe we can start with lights.. What's some good setups/prices/places to buy? I've been kinda looking around but theres a million diff things, and I never took no class or nothin, so I dont really know much about it.. But Im just lookin for a pretty basic, small setup to put in a spare bedroom of my house... Any advice?

Same here.. but on lighting u gotta look into it. this about what u wanna do. like me i have a Octagon Softbox and 2 strobe with umbrellas..Im looking in to some countinuos lights that also strobe. them shits is hot as mess!!!!!!

just curious, but what is the point of having a light that strobes in photography? it strobes with the cam? like a flash or what?

j columbo, i'm not even trying to diss you, but your not very good at photography... I point & click the cam and do that well... i'd like to learn maybe from someone who has some better shots, I don't think you know much more than I already do....

LIGHTING IS EVERY THING. depends on the strobes you have.

slave's strobe with your camera flash (or ttl)
Hot shoe sync w/ the camera with a hotshoe and pc cord or you can have the wireless transmitter (which is dope as fuck)


And ill have hact to disagree w/ you the j. columbo aka nastynia (lol) comment you made he dope as shit..still aint fucking w/ me (lol) but he dope

Dude is one of the best photographers to come on this site, not sure what you've been looking at.

THANK YOU SIR.AND YES A STROBE FIRES OFF WHEN YOU PUSH THAT LITTLE BUTTON ON THE TOP THAT TAKES THE PHOTOS.

have you looked at the other photography?

lady tragik, cheeto, and several others have more impressive photography peices in my opinion......maybe it's just his personal style of photography that I wasn't into, i'm not sure.... he had good pics, but some of the lighting and fontwork he does I just wan't a fan of....

like for example just to pick one thread
this banners photography of lady tragik, looks way better to me, than the graphic by j columbo







see how the lighting on his just makes everything dull..... not a fan of the editing methods.... no disrespect what so ever... I just am more interested in a different style possibly
