That travel though, gonna easily be the most traveled team in the league again and that ain't even counting the Mexico game. Week 3&4 back to back east coast games and week 7&8 back to back Florida games.

At least it eases up after the by week though. Only away games after that is division games and we have home games surrounding the Mexico game.

Looks like if the Vegas stadium gets funding approval on Thursday the Raiders are going to move forward in the process to move there.

Momentum keeps building toward possible Raiders move to Las Vegas | ProFootballTalk

Momentum keeps building toward possible Raiders move to Las Vegas

Three months ago, the Raiders came in third in a three-team race to Los Angeles. They may end up winning a one-team quest for Las Vegas.

Vincent Bonsignore of the L.A. Daily News reports via Twitter that a “huge week” is coming for the effort to build a stadium in Las Vegas where the Raiders would play. As Bonsignore points out, the next big step is approval of the funding mechanism for a Vegas venue.

It’s apparently a “huge week” because, as noted by the Twitter page of the Las Vegas Sands (the casino that is pushing to build the stadium), Raiders owner Mark Davis will attend the second meeting of the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee. It’s set for Thursday, April 28, at 8:00 a.m. local time.

Apart from obtaining funding approval, the Raiders will need league approval, with at least 23 other teams signing off on the decision to allow the move to the city that is synonymous with gambling. Not long ago, the NFL refused to even consider the possibility of staging a preseason game in Las Vegas. Now, the mood has changed, dramatically.

While some owners will indeed oppose allowing the NFL’s brand of pigskin to do business in Sin City, the reality is that as eight can scream, “No God, no God, please no, no, no, nooooo!” from the tops of their lungs, and it won’t matter if the other 24 whisper, “Yes.”

It also may not matter if more than eight teams vote against the move. Davis could try to move the team in defiance of league rules, arguing that any attempt to prevent him from moving the team wherever he chooses amounts to a violation of federal antitrust laws.

However it plays out, it may soon be time to get used to the sound of Las Vegas Raiders.

Mark Davis is officially starting the process to move to Vegas

Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis says he wants to move team to Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS -- Raiders owner Mark Davis says he wants to move the team to Las Vegas and is willing to spend a half-billion dollars as part of a deal for a new stadium in the city.

Davis upped the ante in a bid to move the team to this gambling city, appearing Thursday alongside soccer great David Beckham and billionaire casino owner Sheldon Adelson before a committee studying the idea of a $1.4 billion stadium.

He repeated what he said he told Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval a few weeks ago, saying the Raiders want to turn the Silver State into the "silver and black state."

Davis noted the Raiders played in Las Vegas in an exhibition against Houston in 1964 and said that with help building the stadium, it won't be another 50 years before they play here again.

It would take up to three years to build the stadium, so in the interim, the Raiders likely would keep their headquarters in Alameda, California, and play their regular-season games in Oakland with an exhibition game in Las Vegas. The Raiders still have two one-year options on leases at the O.co Coliseum through 2018.

Legal issues[edit]
On January 28, 2012, Aldon Smith was arrested for driving under the influence in Miami Beach, Florida.[21][22]

On June 30, 2012, Smith was believed to have suffered stab wounds when attempting to break up a fight at a party at his residence. Two other people were shot in the incident.[23] On October 9, 2013, Smith was charged with "three felony counts of illegal possession of an assault weapon" relating to the stabbing incident. The charges were later reduced to misdemeanors.[24]

On September 20, 2013, Smith was involved in a single vehicle accident in San Jose, California. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana. After the loss to the Indianapolis Colts in the third week of the football season, he voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility, to be put onto the non-football injury list with an indefinite leave of absence.[25]

On April 13, 2014, Smith was detained and arrested following an incident at the Los Angeles International Airport in which Smith became belligerent and uncooperative with a TSA agent, who alleged Smith claimed he was carrying a bomb.[26] After interviews revealed that Smith did not clearly state he was carrying a bomb, the Los Angeles City Attorney decided to drop the charges. Smith was suspended for nine games for the 2014 season.

On August 6, 2015, he was arrested in Santa Clara, California, for an alleged hit and run after driving under the influence, and vandalism charges.[27] He was released by the 49ers the following day August 7, 2015, as a result.[18]

Aldon played great last year while he was in. The second post you quoted is Reggie Nelson's salary. Aldon is on a very low risk contract. He gets 250k a game while he's active with no guaranteed money. So why not?
Whoops @ misquoting his salary

Why not? Because he's probably going to kill someone in some kind of crazy DUI accident; another NFL season with painkillers being handed out like tic-tacs and an alcohol problem is disastrous. Plus dude had 5 chances, I've never heard of someone getting that many chances. It's kind of crazy how hypocritical the NFL can be sometimes... whole conduct enforcement system seems farcical and seems to only bow to public pressure. I bet if he slapped some chick on camera he wouldn't have made it to a third or maybe even second chance

He's on a long ass suspension lol he hasn't been in trouble since he's been signed with the Raiders. He won't be coming back until around week 9 or 10 due to his suspension.

He lost another entire year and is a top defensive player in the league on a terrible money contract with no guaranteed pay to prove himself. Dude has been punished.
