kobe scored 50 and they still lost..explain that!
This is cut and pasted from an article. This really explains that!
Kobe was indeed stupendous. Hitting off-balance shots from everywhere with hands in his face. Routinely driving, spinning, and whirling to the basket. Making timely defensive rotations. Busting his gut from endline to endline. Forcing only two shots and three dribble-drives. And certainly playing well enough to lead his team to victory.
Kobe started out in the same pass-first mode that boosted the Lakers to their three wins. In fact, he even turned down a pair of relatively easy shots to deliver the ball to Kwame Brown, who fumbled both passes.
And early on, the Lakers' offense was far from being a one-man show, but was undermined by turnovers, 20 for the game. Only Lamar Odom and Devean George proved to be staunch allies: Odom's line included 8-14, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, and 22 points. George came off the bench to bury 3-of-5 treys and score 14 points.
Otherwise, Brown showed his usual quick feet and slow hands and was therefore somewhat unreliable. Luke Walton registered 10 points but missed too many critical shots — including two fadeaway jumpers in the lane when defended by the diminutive Nash. Smush Parker was a total loss — 0-5, 2 assists, 3 turnovers and only two points — missing one layup, getting another layup smacked, committing a costly charge, and making several ill-advised passes while in the air.
