Tired of the slow trickle of character announcements for Marvel vs. Capcom 3? How about a juicy little rumor to tide you over until the next official reveal?

Fighting game community Shoryuken.com recently discovered an anonymous Twitter account that professed to having deep insider knowledge about Capcom's upcoming crossover fighter. The tipster's Twitter page has since been deleted, but not before the user could reveal what they alleged will be the final roster for Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

According to the source, who went by the Twitter handle klennox22, the last set of character announcements will include Phoenix, Sentinel, and Taskmaster on the Marvel side, plus Hsien-Ko, Mike Haggar, and Akuma representing Capcom. Galactus is listed as the game's final boss.

One character that apparently won't be in the game, however, is Dead Rising's Frank West. "The creative deadline was in September. Frank was pulled about two months prior, and there was no time to add a new character in his place," read one of klennox22's numerous posts on the matter, continuing, "Shuma-Gorath was removed from the game to even the sides, and the decision was made to offer him as DLC."

Shoryuken preserved an archive of the account's posts, so whether these leaks prove legitimate or not, they're definitely worth a read for Marvel vs. Capcom fans. Give it a look and let us know what you think.

Though it doesn't have a dedicated page for itself, there's a new video of the the new simple mode and the berserker-type mode you can use for one character per match in the top stories scroll at the top of the page.

They got a screenshot of Akuma, man I don't give a fuck what noone says, that shit is gay as fuck, Capcom said there wouldn't be any clones, everyone would have a unique moveset and playstyle and that's why they didn't put Punisher in was because they felt he'd be too similar to Chris, but they throw this red headed fuck in? Man I'm cool with just Danny Larusso lookin' ass Ryu being the only Karate guy, we don't need his red headed clone.

According to GamesRadar, Marvel vs Capcom 3 has a relatively unique solution to the problem of habitual online quitters. That is to say: People who quit online matches before they are over. That is to say: Rage quitters. Marvel vs Capcom 3 reportedly tracks players' quitting habits and can detect those who quit frequently. Said players will then be placed in a new matchmaking bracket -- one populated solely by other rage quitters.

In other words, quit all the time and you'll be paired with other players that quit all the time. Shoryuken notes that a similar system was implemented in Tatsunoko vs Capcom. We've contacted Capcom to confirm if such a system is indeed in place for MvC3. Assuming it's true, it's certainly a novel concept, though perhaps a terrifying one for those with unstable internet connections
