BTW has anyone looked at Monta's stats compared to Kobe's in their 3rd year out of high school? Got this from another board...

YEAR THREE

Bryant 37.9 mpg
Ellis 37.9 mpg

Bryant 19.9 ppg
Ellis 20.2 ppg

Bryant 5.3 rebs
Ellis 5.0 rebs

Bryant 3.8 ass
Ellis 3.9 ass

Bryant 46.5% fg
Ellis 53.1% fg

BTW..Monta's #'s were better than Kobe's in year 1 and 2.

Not saying Monta is gonna be the next Kobe, he still will never have the height or be able to play D aswell but I definetley think he will become an elite player and more efficient scorer than Kobe. Its gonna be fun watching him get better and better.
what about that 3pt %

Knowing when to pick his spots, like when he feels he needs to just take things over for himself in a game. Knowing how to defer when a teammate is doing well to not take anything away from that and his presence as a proven leader in the locker room ETC.

and as far as clutch goes... lets just talk end of game clutch... search that shit in youtube and see the results of the 2 players

Do you watch an equal amount of Blazers and Ws games?

But what's end of game clutch? The last two minutes of the fourth quarter? The last six minutes of the fourth quarter? The last possession of the game?

^its when the game can either be put in reach or put outta reach... It's just a situation where something needs to happen....

clutch can be hitting a shot while the shot clock is expiring in the first quarter.... but being clutch in the 4th is the best obviously.

people know clutch when they see it...

and of course i don't watch as many Warrior games as a I do blazers games. but no one has seen what this team is gonna do with ellis running the shit.

Monta doesn't shoot many 3's because thats not his strength. Im sure that will come along tho sooner or later, I know he's been working on it. Its nice to see him score alot with out having to take alot of 3's tho. The team already had enough guys chucking 3's so we really didn't need monta to join the party.

cause roy has been doin it sense he came into the league.... I don't see monta ellis guarding the best player on the floor in crunch time.
Well I agree with the defensive part..but being cluth and having intagibles, I dont know how you can write off Monta when he's not near his prime yet.

Monta has been clutch. You just dont watch enough Warriors games to know or have a legit opinion. I can recall 2 games I was at 2 years ago, when Monta came up big at the end...1 he hit the game winner against NJ and the 2nd one he took over the game in OT against the Nuggets, trading baskets back and forth with Mike Miller and basically won the game for the W's. That was in his 2nd year at 20 years old. He definetly has the clutch factor and it will show more as he gets better.

So how can you say one player "will never be as clutch" as another player when you don't watch an equal amount of games between the two players different teams? It's statements like that, that make people think you don't know what you're talking about.

And hanging your hat on something as ambiguous as 'intangibles' just says you don't have what it takes to get specific...

I just did give you specifics in a different post

Bullshit dude I'm sure I can see highlights on ESPN, NBA.com ETC of the games. and I have sopcast and go to channelsurfing.net and have watched plenty of warriors games to form an opinion. and I'm sure they would show the clutch play on the highlights if it was.

Again, debating something as ambiguous as "intangibles" is stupid because that shit is totally subjective.

You watch a lot of Portland Trailblazers basketball, but not enough NBA basketball to have an impartial conversation
