^^^ he cant guard duncan, stoudemire, gasol, boozer, brand, kg, nowitzki, rasheed, d12, bosh, west, al jefferson....

stephen jackson plays d too. our style of play isnt defensively oriented. our team as a whole lacks defensive intensity for the most part. there were times we played good defense last season but more often we were lazy.

jackson, azabuike, pietrus, and harrington all had solid defense. azabuike guarded kobe better than anyone else. harrington guarded/bothered yao better than anyone else the last 2 years. jackson can shut down a few players; he completely destroys dirk. pietrus goes crazy and guards a lot of people and has amazing help defense. he gets a ton a nasty highlight blocks and steals.

biedrins was decent but he can get muscled down low. he does have great timing and patience on blocks; especially when helping on d.

baron goes for many steals and plays defense in bursts. sometimes he sags off and waits for a pass to steal. sometimes he locks on and bullies people with his strength.

we need more focus/determination/conditioning and rebounding. we need a big guy with muscle that can hold it down.

diop might be a free agent to consider. diop and biedrins could be a vicious defensive combo.

lol @ this pic of rudolph

lol at least he isnt the guy taking the facial.

after watching more video of randolph... i'm ok with the pick. if he stayed in college for another year he would have been a top 3 pick. hes got decent handles and good quickness; especially for his size. hopefully he makes large improvements like monta and we will have 2 very electrifying players

^you're pointing out the mismatches, but overall GS sucks as a whole on D. They'll be like that as long as Nelson is the coach. I'm not sure what type of style Keith Smart has if he decides to take over
i'm pointing out some major impact our players can have on D. you are correct about nelson. i'm ready to move on coaching wise. sure 110 points a game is fun but winning is better. we also need someone who can help our young players progress and give them minutes when they need. nellie didnt have faith in our bench last year and our big 3 was exhausted.

i wouldnt be nervous chree. we arent giving away players for free. whatever moves happen should benefit us greatly.

and those "mismatches" were only mismatches for us.

normally kobe is a mismatch for the league. same with yao and dirk. if our team can stop he leagues best players; we can stop just about anyone if we wanted.

BTW anyone know what the deal is with O'Bryant? Im guessing they're just gonna let him walk. I wouldnt be suprised if he went to a team I hate like the Lakers and started tearing shit up..
what a wasted draft pick

I know the Warriors style isnt really defensive oriented. Thats why they aint gonna win shit until they buckle down a little harder. They can still be uptempo and offensive AND play a little better D. At times last year our D was atrocious. The Warriors were the highest scoring team last year and they didn't even make the playoffs.

THIS PICK IS COO AT 14, HE DON'T SEEM LIKE BRANDAN WRIGHT HE SEEMS LIKE A MORE PERIMITER ORIENTED PLAYER, AND WRIGHT IS PROBABLY GONNA BE STARTING THIS YEARBECAUSE 85% OF THE TEAM IS FREE AGENTS I DON'T THINK PEITRUS AND AZABUKE ARE COMING BACK, BARNES MIGHT COME BACK, BUT O'BRYANT IS GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE

yeah, Randolph looks like he can fit in Nellys system. i thought he was gonna be another B Wright but after watching some of his videos, it looks like he can do more than Wright can. i cant wait to see what happens next season.

where did you read that Harrington wants to be traded?

i agree about azabuike, i like him and hope we hang on to him. he's got a good shot, great strength, and good defense. Ballhandling, passing, and decision making need to improve... but he can and will drive which is better than chucking a 3.
