Syko, here's my personal breakdown. You can't go wrong with a lot of these teams.

AFC

NORTH
Steelers: Hard hitting, great tradition, play with heart, not always skill.
Bengals: Great offense. Terrible defense. The fans have given up on the franchise. Most of them have brand new jerseys because they epitomize "bandwagon". I hate this city and all the players.
Browns: Die hard fans. Tough times. They actually left the NFL for a while and came back as an expansion team. They have a history of horribly misusing draft picks. Any fan of this team is a true fan, because they've been terrible up until this year.
Ravens: If you like this team, you're no longer welcome to visit Pittsburgh. Hard hitting, fantastic defense. Terrible offense. Leader of the defense is a double murderer.

WEST
Chargers: Great tradition, lots of potential, my favorite team left in the playoffs. Stacked with talent. Quarterback is effeminate. Best RB in the league.
Chiefs: Umm..you can do better than this team.
Broncos: In my unbiased opinion, if you're not gonna be a Steelers fan, be a Broncos fan. Mike Shanahan is a fantastic coach. They have the zone offense, which means they almost always have a 1,000 running back. If you like power football, this is a great team. The defense has gotten less powerful and a little faster over the years, but they have a good formula.
Raiders: Until John Madden gets over the Immaculate Reception and starts giving unbiased coverage of the Steelers on Sunday night, I cannot endorse this team. This was the worst team in the league until the Dolphins usurped them. Great tradition. Fans are a cross between die hard and crazy.

SOUTH
Colts: Trendy team, but hard to hate.
Jaguars: Formerly owned by George W. Bush. Big strike against them. They're in a small market and won't get a lot of national coverage, which you may want to think about if you're watching games internationally. Power running game, smashmouth defense. A lot like the Steelboys.
Titans: Jeff Fisher is a great coach. They have a quarterback who is fun to watch, but not the best passer. Their best player made it rain. This is a team worth watching.
Texans: Just...no. Worst team in the division.

EAST
Patriots: Fuck this team. Fuck their quarterback. Fuck their coach. They used to be very classy. I still hated them then.
Jets: Fell off after Curtis Martin left. Nothing exciting about this team whatsoever.
Bills: Great tradition. Sad tradition. Small market, dying city, die hard fans. They're in a rebuilding stage. Their quarterback looks like Adam Sandler.
Dolphins: I used to love this team. It might be a minute before they're good again, but this was a once great franchise.

NFC

NORTH
Bears: Hard hitting, fantastic defense. They'll be rebuilding on offense after this year. Most likely gonna have a hard running game if they can make the pieces fit.
Vikings: I used to love this team, but its really changing it identity right now. It used to be a pass heavy Randy Moss extravaganza. Now they have Adrian Peterson. This is a bandwagon you might wanna jump on if you think he'll last without getting injured.
Packers: I personally think this is a really trendy team, but most people LOVE this franchise and its quarterback.
Lions: Do not follow this team until Matt Millen is fired as general manager.

EAST
Cowboys: One of the most polarizing teams in the NFL. Trendiest pick their is. I hate them.
Eagles: Eagles fans are the quickest to boo somebody. They're very unsupportive of a player who doesn't play well. They booed Santa Clause. They LOVE their team, but are very critical. Great team on the decline.
Redskins: Fuck Dan Snyder.
Giants: Boring team, despite having some really talented players on both sides of the ball. Eli Manning looks like he hates football and his life. Plaxico Buress is the man. Shockey is a bitch. Strahan's probably done.

SOUTH
Bucaneers: Not much exciting about this team.
Falcons: They've never had back to back winning seasons, but they always show glimmers of hope (until this year). It may take them a while to get back on their feet.
Saints: They've never been very good either. If you're considering them, its not a trendy pick at all. I just think you could do better.
Panthers: This whole division is just boring right now.

WEST:
49ers: Someone else can explain this to you.
Cardinals: This is my sleeper pick for you. This is a team that's always underachieved, but I think they finally have the right mentality. Get linemen, turn into a running team, and make the defense tough. They showed a lot of promise this year. If I wasn't a Steelers fan and I had to pick a franchise to start following, I think it'd be the Cardinals.
Rams: Formerly the greatest show on turf. They need some linemen bad. They have really talented players on offense, but they're stagnant without a line. Marc Bulger's sister is hot.
Seahawks: I'm gonna get a lot of shit for this, but until they admit they lost the Superbowl, they can fuck the fuck off.

That's my 2 cents. Probably a little more than 2 cents. But nothing like 3 cups of coffee to start your day off.

Props: :ab: and :ab:

just randomly picking a team sounds fucking retarded. at least make it a team close to you where you might actually be able to go to a game, or fuck just go by your favorite color.

thats what im saying, so he should probably stick with a shitty team like the niners raiders chargers or seahawks so he would have easy access to see a team he liked.

If you don't want your WR crying all on tv after a loss...If you don't want your team choking in the first round every year...If you don't want your coach question your teams chances at the playoffs (Playoffs? playoffs??)...if you dont want your team to 'let em off the hook"....COME TO THE WEST COAST (and by west coast i mean the 49ers)

Niners... ok where to start...

The 49ers are 1 of only 3 teams and the first(49ers, Cowboys, and Steelers. In that order) to have 5 Super Bowl victories. Unlike the other teams tho, we are undefeated in the Super Bowl(5-0) No other team has more then 1 win and is undefeated in the Super Bowl. The 49ers have several of the NFL's greatest players to ever play(Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Roger Craig, Ronnie Lott, John Taylor.. List goes on and on) They won 4 Super Bowl's in the 1980's making them, the team of the 80's. The 49ers were always known for their high powered offense, but their defense had always been one of the hardest hitting(Just youtube Ronnie Lott, he cut his damn pinky off so he could continue playing football). Up until the 2004 season the 49ers were a constant playoff team. Now all the pieces are in place, just need them to be put in the right place. and that's a basic summary of the 49ers. Oh and we tapped that Raiders ass in the 2006 season, 34-20.
