So I won the first round of the $5,000 las vegas tournament last week, and I won again today for the 2nd round of the tournament. So I'm officially district or regional champion or whatever.

For winning I advance and I won a White with black trim Everlast boxing robe that says Fight Night round 4 on the back, haha

Round 3 on August 1st for the state finals. If I win that, Las Vegas here I come!!

The funny thing is I never played this game on the xbox before, only ps3. The finalist I beat today was hella nerdy looking, he had a shirt that said, THE CHAMP IS HERE!!!. lol. I intimidated his ass by talking hella shit while playing, knocked his ass out in the 6th round.

Has this froze on ANY of youre systems yet? ps3/xbox? I copped a couple weeks ago for ps3, played for a couple hours. had a 7(7)-0-0 record, and after my next training session the shit just started freeezing at diff points in the game. So i started searching around and Its apparently a big problem for 360 users, but its pretty small on ps3.

This game is sick, too. Too bad it shits on my system.

well, I came up just a bit short - got 2nd place in the tournament. One more round and I would have won a trip to vegas to compete.

Apparently it wasn't just the state finals, it was practically the entire west coast. There were people from canada, oregon, etc. I KO'd everyone they put in front of me, made it to the final fight and get this, the guy that beat was the SAME NERD I beat two weeks ago!!! Unbelievable. The guy had a new style basically cheap as fuck just body spammed the entire fight hardly never threw any head punches and his defense was improved. I got his energy down pretty far, but it was only a 6 round fight, so he won on points. So close!!!

yeah it was fun I destroyed everyone else pretty easy, all early KO's. Whats frustrating is knowing I lost to a guy that I feel isn't nearly as skilled as me, he just beat me with a pretty cheap/annoying style that honestly wouldn't have worked in a 10 round fight, but in a 6 round fight you don't have to worry about your stamina and health nearly as much, so he could win rounds by throwing more punches.

They took my info so I'm an alternate, in case anyone cant make it, makes me want to track that guy down and dispose of him lol

August 12, 2009 – Electronic Arts revealed that its first downloadable boxer pack for Fight Night Round 4 will be available in late August on XBOX LIVE and the Playstation Network for 800 Microsoft points and $9.99, respectively. The downloadable boxer pack will include Oscar De La Hoya, Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko, and alternate versions of George Foreman and James Toney. Named the Game Critic Awards “Best Sports Game of E3 2009”, Fight Night Round 4 has been winning over reviewers and fans since its release on June 23rd.

In addition to the boxer pack, EA SPORTS™ will also be releasing a free downloadable game update at the end of August. The free update will include additional trunks, gloves and shorts, as well as a free button control scheme that will allow gamers to use face buttons on the Xbox 360 and PS3 game controllers to throw punches, hooks, uppercuts and haymakers. A new demo featuring the button controls will also be available on XBOX LIVE and the Playstation Network by early September. The 12 round demo will feature Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali as playable boxers.

"We are extremely excited to be able to add Oscar and the Klitschko brothers as part of our roster," said executive producer, Dean Richards. "As three of the most globally recognized names in the sport, they are an important addition to the Fight Night Round 4 lineup."

^^I win by KO almost every time now.

Knockdowns are hard at first, but just remember it's all about timing. Wait for your opponent to throw a punch and dodge it and nail him. Also if you block at just the right moment there is a little bit of the parry system, but the window is very small.

I had a draw. And a few times I had even rounds 10-10 and even a 9-9 (point deduction). I think the demo is off though because everytime I think all judges score the same.

Also, the point system is incorrect at times between rounds, the demo is buggy like that. Same with punch stats. You'll see shit like R Hook - landed 9 thrown 6. lol.
what fight is that in your sig ? i wanna watch it
