I didn't say they have. I said they get a chance too. And yeah they haven't beat em 4 times in a row, but that's about to end on New Year's Day. Besides, you would think I was crazy if I didn't pick my team.

Ok proppa when Michigan wins make sure u dont disapear from the board mane!! What does stats or facts have to do with makin a pick?? I think Michigan is gonna win, just like the other winners I picked in each bowl game!! Like I said before aint no one gonna pick every bowl right so even if Sc wins Im sure I will get a few others wrong!! This bowl game aint as important to me as it is to u so I aint trippin mane!!! It aint even for the title!! The Sugar bowl is for the title so if u gonna make a big deal about a certain then talk about the National Title bowl in the Sugar Bowl!! GOT EM!!!

funny how no one thinks the sugar bowl is for the title sept you.

if sc wins they get the title. and i guess well give half to the bcs winner. be nice about it na mean.

since before 1900 the winner of the poll gets it plain and simple. the bcs was possed to change that only because it was made to put the #1 #2 teams in the same bowl. but it got twisted and some how sc came out #1 and didnt get in. that fucks the bcs up, and it gives us a split NC.

90 percent of people say SC is #1 they get the shared title. and every one will recognize them as the NC. realise it, turn on the tv pick up a news paper ask someone you see walking down the street.

Hahahah I am the only one who thinks the Sugar Bowl is for the title?? Are u that dumb?? Its a FACT that the Sugar Bowl is for the title!! Thats why its called the National Title game!! This is one of the dymbest things u have said, except maybe when u said SC was gonna the title in all 3 sports!! Nice try though!! I picked Michigan because I think they are simply a better team!! I aint as high on Sc as most u guys are!! I think SC is cool but I just think Michigan will win a close game with Perry controlling the clock!! It will be some nice WR/CB matchups as well with M. Williams/M. Jackson & B Edwards/W. Poole!! Well see what happens!! GOT EM!!!

I RESPECT EVERYONES OPINION ON HERE BUT ITS STATEMANT LIKE THIS ONE ,THAT SHOW SOME PEOPLE HERE JUST RUN OUT THE MOUTH,AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL THIER TALKING ABOUT..IF THIS GUY EVEN KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT,HE WOULD KNOW THAT HAWAII IS BOWL TEAM EVERY YEAR AND DID NOT HURT SC THE TEAMS THAT HURT THEM WAS THE IRISH AND AUBURN...THE FUNNY THING IS THAT LSU OUT OF ALL THE SCHOOLS REFUSED TO PLAY THE GOOD TEAMS ,THEY LINED UP LOUISIANA-MONROE,WESTERN ILLINOIS AND LOUISIANA TECH , WHO THEY LINED UP AS THIER OUT OF CONFRENCE OPPONENTS...EVEN AS OF NOW ,LSU HAS TURNED DOWN SC CHALLENGE TO PLAY NEXT YEAR ONLY OKLAHOMA HAS ACCEPTED THE CHALLENGE FOR THE PIG SKIN CLASSIC NEXT YEAR...SEVERAL TEAMS HAVE TURNED DOWN SC LIKE MIAMI,FLORIDA STATE AND OTHERS...

HOMIE ,DO YOU EVEN PICK A PAPER ,IF THATS TOO MUCH WORK TURN ON ESPN SPORTS CENTER..YES THE AP VOTERS AGREED TO VOTE THE TEAM THAT WINS THE SUGAR BOWL AS NATIONAL TITLE WINNERS...BUT THEY ARE IN NO OBLIGATION TO DO SO...SEVERAL OF THE VOTERS ALREADY ON RECORD SAYING IF SC DEFEATS MICHIGAN,,THIER STAYING AS NUMBER ONE,AND IT WILL BE A SPLIT...THE WINNERS OF THE SUGAR BOWL GET THE BCS SEARS TROPHY AND SC WOULD GET THE OLD TRADITIONAL TROPHY THAT HAS BEEN GIVING OUT BEFORE BCS CAME TO PLAY..

HA HA OOH LIKE NFL HALL OF FAMERS INCLUDING JOE THIESMAN,BARRY SANDERS...HA HA QUIT WHILE YOUR AHEAD...DO SOME READING
  • NEW YORK (AP) -- Joe Theismann was incredulous when he saw the matchup for the Bowl Championship Series title game.

The newly inducted Hall of Famer knew there were problems with the BCS, but leaving the No. 1 team out of the title game was beyond belief.

``I hope they realize how ridiculous it looks when USC is No. 1 and not playing for the national championship,'' Theismann said Tuesday.

Theismann wasn't the only Hall of Famer miffed by the BCS controversy. Many of the inductees couldn't understand how the Trojans, the top team in both polls, were beaten out by Oklahoma and LSU for the BCS title game.

The Trojans, who were hurt because of the computer rankings and strength of schedule, instead will play No. 4 Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

``I can't think of any other sport where the champion doesn't play the next best team in a playoff,'' said Hayden Fry, the former coach at Iowa, SMU and North Texas State. ``We are the only sport that does not have it. The best way to do it would be to take the four winners of the bowls and have a playoff.''

Fry and Theismann, the former Notre Dame quarterback, were two of the 13 people inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday. They will be enshrined at the Hall in South Bend, Ind., in August.

The other Hall of Fame players are Southern California running back Ricky Bell, Dartmouth defensive back Murry Bowden, Minnesota guard Tom Brown, Pittsburgh offensive tackle Jimbo Covert, SMU end Jerry LeVias, Alabama tackle Billy Neighbors, Arizona State linebacker Ron Pritchard, Georgia quarterback John Rauch, Oklahoma State tailback Barry Sanders and Missouri defensive back Roger Wehrli.

Former Tennessee and Florida coach Doug Dickey also was inducted.

The Trojans can still win The Associated Press title if they beat Michigan. However, the USA Today/ESPN coaches' poll has agreed to give its trophy to the winner of the BCS title game.

That sets up the possibility of a split national championship -- something that was supposed to be eliminated when the BCS was started in 1998.

``It's like being split Super Bowl champions. Championships should be decided,'' Theismann said. ``If you have a competition there should be a winner and loser. Life is that way. Life is not made up of ties. Life is made up of winners and losers.''

Theismann and Fry both proposed a modified playoff system that would be used after the bowl games to determine an undisputed national champion on the field.

The conferences that run the BCS are considering a similar plan beginning in 2006 -- taking the top two teams after the bowls -- but even that could cause controversy.

``Then there would be a debate about who those teams are,'' Covert said. ``If you have four bowl winners and only two teams go to the championship, you'll have an issue.''

Pac-10 commissioner Tom Hansen, who criticized the BCS after having one of his teams left out, said there won't be a full-blown playoff.

don’t sit there and spew a strength-of-schedule argument at me for LSU when the Tigers lined up Louisiana-Monroe, Western Illinois and Louisiana Tech (along with Arizona, a common opponent with USC) as its non-conference opponents. That isn’t a schedule, that’s a box of Krispy Kreme donuts.USC scheduled bowl-bound Auburn, bowl-bound Hawaii, (usually bowl-bound) BYU, and (usually bowl-bound) Notre Dame. Of the two, USC is the one that said, “We’ll play anybody” while LSU’s statement was, “Let’s pluck a few pansies.”
I know it’s accepted hype that all those good-old-boy teams in the SEC sure do know how to play the game of football, while the Pac-10 is really just a drill team in pads. But Georgia stinks, and if that’s a finalist for the SEC title, then it might be time to throw the competition open to women’s teams. At least Oregon State can compete.
...

the schedule strength ratings shows LSU's schedule strength is higher then USC's.....its out in the open, they rank the every one in the nations schedule strength........I dont think you understand what schedule strength is because you are talking about refusing to play teams....you could loss all 12 games and have the #1 schedule strength, winning and losing doesnt have anything to do with it...............LSU refused to play all those teams and they still had a better schedule strength then USC, so what does that tell you????????????

Georgia you say stinks but yet they are ranked higher then everyone in your conference besides SC......the SEC has 4 teams in the top 15....5 in the top 20....you cannot discredit that conference at all, those 5 teams are better and higher ranked then ANY team yall played all year and that doesnt include AUBURN which you keep mentioning who ISNT even in the top 25 and neither is Hawaii, Notre Dame or BYU

Washington State clocked in a whopping 16th in the last BCS.....soon to be down even further after the bowl games and thats yalls prized victory this year....I mean you can hype up those other teams but by the end of the year they showed their true colors......just like I said about OU, LSU doesnt have to play great teams in non-con cuz they conference is tough enough to make up for it
