saw it last night. movie was great. started off slow but ended nice. Bane is vicious!
auto pilot was how he escaped and how it was explained in the end, stop overanalyzing the shit!
movie was pretty spot on to the comic book too.
are there any plans to make more?
nope that was the last one its a triology like them spiderman movies were. only way there will be more is if someone new buys the rights and start a new batman film franchise.

Which comic book, M @MDDL FNGZ ? Knightfall, No Man's Land, or The Dark Knight Returns?

It has elements of all those books combined, not to mention the ties to and nods at A Tale of Two Cities by Dickens.

And what do you mean "buys the rights"? Warner Bros. owns everything to do with the Batman universe. There are no right to buy. They need a script, a production company, and a director, then they're in business.

It's only a matter of time until the company decides what direction to go this next time. And with the success of The Avengers, I'm positive DC is going to do their damnedest to get a Justice League movie off the ground.

Yeah, they can make it work. With enough money and the right vision, people will grow to accept whoever becomes the next Batman. The problem I have with the ambiguity of TDKR is exactly that; :::::::SPOILER ALERT:::::::

there's no telling if JGL will reprise his John Blake role and continue with new stories told from a different scope, but still remain an off shoot of Nolan's films.

A couple interesting facts you may not have picked up on during your screening of the film that I happened to catch over the few times I've seen it:

Blake makes a reference to the other police jokingly asking him if he found "any giant alligators running around the sewers" is a not-so-obvious nod to the character "Killer Croc", rumored to be a main villain at one point in pre-production.

Of the two stock exchange guys getting their shoes shined, one makes a point of saying he "flipped a coin" to make a decision about something. That's a more noticeable Two-Face reference in the wake of TDK.

The John Daggett character in TDKR is an amalgamation of the Nolan's and David Goyer's doing and a DC character called Roland Daggett, a corrupt businessman who in the comics creates a cream called Renuyu that allows users to restructure their faces in whatever way they see fit. Daggett hires a man named Matt Hagen to do dirty work for him in exchange for Renuyu(it's highly addictive). The guy eventually becomes Clayface because of Daggett.

In the scene where Blake confronts Bruce about being Batman and their conversation is about metaphorical masks and hiding, the room they're in is a trophy room filled with masks from all over the world.

Warner Bros. prepping a Batman reboot for 2016, but not as origin story?

What the hell took so long?!

A mere 13 days after TDKR opening worldwide - since culling over $300 million - Warner Bros. is apparently prepping a franchise reboot of BATMAN to be ready for 2016. Cosmicbooknews includes the word might, so take that for what you will. It seems the plan is to release a newly vamped take on the character after the first JUSTICE LEAGUE movie is released. It won't be an origin story but will feature Batman entering his second year as a hero.

Even more dubious is the possible new title, which might be THE BATMAN. I can't see that, but I can see how a reboot would be so imminent. It's all about the dough these days, and given how popular the Nolan films are, WB is going to capitalize. Seriously though, can anyone come in and actually improve the character? Haven't Nolan and Bale done the property more than enough justice?

Or do we need a reboot so soon?

damn fuck a reboot. The bar has been set and these last 3 movies are not to be fucked with. Anything else will be a major disappointment. Pay Bale and Nolan whatever the fuck they need to if they want to make more batman movies! If not end it on a ridiculously good note. This trilogy is easily at the top with all of the great ones.

It clearly shows Batman still in the cockpit at 5 seconds from the bomb going off. How he survived is still a mystery to me but he is still alive they show him in that cafe Alfred was talking about. 1 theory I heard was since Nolan is going to be a part of the new superman and they are trying to make it in the same universe for Justice League maybe superman came in with his superspeed and saved batman? Also did anybody else think of Tate (the main villian chick) as Nolan's depiction of poison ivy? She is the one in control of Bane, the true master mind, while Bane was the brawns, and how she was constantly invested in green/energy saving technology? She was always trying to better the planet, just in a sick twisted way.

everyone knows that bruce is at the restraunt or wherever but what gets me is that earlier in the movie alfred explains that everytime he's there he has a fantasy of him sitting across from him and they dont even speak, just nod. then all that happens to an exact T. why cant it be him just imagining it like he always does? it makes more sense considering he was clearlyu in the cockpit right before the bomb went off.

the whole superman theory would be stupid and terrible writing if thats what we're suppose to believe. so this guy superman who is superhuman decides to sit by why gotham burns and doesnt even help but then decides to at the last minute just to save batman? wouldnt make sense to me. and i honestly feel that Nolan's universe is too real to have supernaturals in it. sure he has in hand in the next superman and maybe they'll do a batman reboot but it'll be just that, a reboot and a whole new universe that can lead up to justice league.

Nolan's Talia whas just that, Talia. she was a character in the comics/novels. sure maybe she had a trait or two just like poison Ivy but i feel that's just coincidence.

All really good points that make me second guess how I think of the ending but whats really annoying is not knowing 100% if Batman lives or dies, both sides have a decent amount of proof to back up each theory.

.
simply cuz the pearls Sylene wearing in that scene are the same she has stolen from Bruce and they are missing from the Bruces will on the end of the movie, so i cant see why Alfred will fantasies exactly that way and look on his face he is surprised seeing Bruce in that place

well thats what i think Nolan wanted. he wanted proof of both sides so you can make it your own. some incpetion shit, and yeah...he did make that movie too lol. it was very smart of him end it the way he did and i respect for it.
