HUH?

So those pathogens are just out there floating around, waiting to transform everyone? Why in the hell does the show exist, then? Everyone has had an open wound. The chemistry would apply the same regardless of them living or dying.

Daryl even made mention that Randall wasn't bitten, was confused by it, AND was in the lab when the CDC guy was explaining everything.

There's a snag somewhere.

Shane killing that guy was off-camera, which makes no sense unless something is being concealed from our view for a reason.
i think the killing off camera was to surprise you down the road. sure he coulda coulda killed but maybe he didnt. then he came out like a zombie so it had you wonder "what the fuck shane do to this kid" then you realize because he was dead it triggered him to be a zombie, which ultimately leads up to the shane/rick scene where you know whoever dies is coming back as a zombie. i thought it was well played out.

^^^ who cares though ... its a t.v show based on a comic book. Its not real period , If you want to question reality truth is zombies aren't going to take over the earth. So just kick back .. get you a plate of tacos and enjoy the show.

That is terrible logic.

The show is about zombies taking over the world, not zombies taking over the world and then people getting super powers.

Sloppy writing.

That would take the show from an 8 to an 11.

Anyway, SPOILER BELOW

IGN Comics: First and foremost: great episode! This is the first time that we've seen hard evidence of the dead coming back to life without being bitten, which is something established in the comics. In Season 1, we saw Jenner studying the disease extensively. So is this something that he might have missed, is withholding, or is it a completely new development in the zombie plague?

Robert Kirkman:
I've stated many times that what Jenner whispered [to Rick] is something that we'll be revealing this season. You'll know what he said by the end of this season. We've just watched the next-to-last episode of this season, and we still haven't seen that reveal, but I will say that this scene – where Shane gets stabbed and comes back as a zombie without having been bitten – is definitely something that is going to inform that reveal coming up in the next episode.

I think it's gonna end up being airborne. That kid that Shane killed turned into a zombie after he died, and they found no bites on him.

Agreed, lots of holes.

What is stupid to me is that most times in the show when someone is attacked by Walkers, the Walkers devour that person, ripping them limb from limb.

If that is the case, how would so many people become functioning Walkers?

Secondly, when the group is out looking for Sophia, they stumble upon the Walker that is hanging from the tree by a noose. They notice that the other Walkers have eaten the flesh off the bones in his legs where they can reach. If that is the case and the Walkers cannibalize each other, why haven't they all eaten on another off?
All the walkers are from the outbreak, people would get infected and become walkers. Walkers tend to travel in packs.

Dude hung himself, while he was dead, but before he turned into a walker other walkers gnawed off what they could reach. Dude wakes up as a walker with no feet.

Simple solutions..

so if the dude from season 1 whispered about that becoming a zombie even though you werent bitten shit then why did rick turn his back against him? why wouldnt he shoot shane in the head or even better why wouldnt he tell anybody else considering that would be huge especially if someone dies in a tragic way and you dont kill the brain.

this is plothole coverup 101 and i'm not buying it. they want to go a different direction then what they intended (which i'm cool with). and they're trying to make it like it was planned this way all along to fool the viewers (which isnt cool). it may have been done in the books this way but to say that dude from the center whispered that into rick's ear then rick kills shane that way without taking out the brain then they're making rick out to be a dumbass which he's far from.
