that old man knows whats up. he sees that shane is more dangerous than the zombies themselves. if not more "dangerous" than the zombies in regards to simple threat to immediate physical safety, hes definitely dangerous in regards to the long term emotional and mental stability of the group, and ultimately their long term physical safety as well, as the likelihood of a scenario arising where shane would choose between himself and another member of the group or the group as a whole is very high

i dont know what im talking about. lol its a fuckin tv show, im bored at work my bad

lmao @ the old man saying almost word for word what i was talking about

lol fuck i didnt trust those two dudes the second they walked into the bar. they just reeked of bad character. when that fat dude started pissing on the floor of the bar i was hoping glen would just go balls to the wall and blast him in the head, and hopefully rick was going to shoot the other guy as he reached for his gun. glen didnt do shit, but you cant call him a coward. rick is a trained officer of the law, glens done some pretty non-coward shit like save ricks life in the city, go into the well, all sorts of shit. so i think he didnt do shit only cause he is unable to fully assess the situation and lacked the ability to react swiftly and with the vigilance that a fully trained police officer would possess.

i like how they just introduced this element into the show by using these two scavenger outsiders of questionable moral character. ive always thought that if everything went to shit, be it some kind of super virus or plague or nuclear fallout or whatever would cause the government to collapse and leave everybody in a survival situation; that some people would simply not be able to handle it, and would revert to being savage parasites and cowards without moral character. that, or the sociopaths of the world would simply dominate and thrive in such a situation; their true colors simply intensified by the lack of fear of consequence. they would take advantage of people and revert to "evil" i guess ill call it for simplicity. its a very real possibility, we can see millions of examples even today, especially in war torn countries. i mean obviously this is a tv show, the two dudes couldnt outright say we're going to kill you, eat all your food, fuck all your women, then kill them and move on to the next batch of poor saps like we've already done from philadelphia all the way on our way down south. but it was obvious that was the case

i like how shane is kind of a symbol of regressed morality and rick is like the symbol of righteousness.

yes im bored at work again and over analyzing shit, so what

i think that episode showed you have to be like shane to even get by in this new world they're in and Rick's becoming like that. Shane killed someone he didnt care about to protect someone he loved and rick just killed someone simply trying to survive like they are. rick made the right choice cause chances are that those guys would've fucked them over but now IMO he's up to speed with how shane handles things. why take the chance in a world like this that would destroy your loved ones? Ricks on par with Shane now and he's worthy of being leader.

That's where you guys are wrong about Rick..

I think he's willing to let "good people" in the pack as long as they're providers and protectors of territory, food and the pack..

those 2 guys seemed like straight scumbags, they came in talking about they wanted to fuck women...you can tell they did rape girls and killed them...

I like what Rick did and he did it because he saw the bad in those guys....

next episode should be pretty dope though..can't wait!
