I'm waiting to see how long it takes before a major fight or shooting breaks out in Ruskin which is now Ruskin/Hickman. Those two schools HATED each other.
But I do believe there was nothing else that could be done to save the whole damn district from bankruptcy because our unintelligent schoolboard just sat with their arms crossed for the last 2 decades not doing anything to fix the problem. So when one superintendent comes in with actual plans of trying to improve the district and the school board actually jumps on for once it looks like an extremely huge step to close down the schools, when in actuality it has been needed for a long time.
KC school district has 17,000 kids and 61 schools
Lee's Summit has 17,000 kids and 28 schools
I would much rather have gone to Lee's Summit school district for my education.
