Well here goes the review of the show, wrote it down because I still have a shitty stoner memory but some might want to read it.
When the doors opened everyone stood around listening to chill music waiting for them to set up. When the "curtain" went up the show started with Syd doing a DJ set. She played mostly Waka Flocka FLame with some Soulja Boy and Basedgod songs here and there. Truth be told there was way more moshing during the DJ set then most of the OF show, the crowd erupted when "30 Thousand 100 Million" came on lol.
The show officially started with Sandwitches. Tyler came out in his green ski mask and started out with a stage dive. A great opened for sure. Everyone was pretty hyped during the song, it then went into the Mellowhype set. Without a doubt Left Brain got way more hyphy than Hodgy but both gave good performances. It's not all the time you see the producer giving such an energized performance tho lol. They performed a new song which I honestly don't remember much of at all except it was really hyped and reminded me of Blackenedwhite.
That segued into Domo's set with "Who Dat?". That was one of the songs that really got the crowd hyped and I see why they usually perform that song even tho it's not an OF beat. the rest of Domo's set wasn't anywhere near as hyped aside as his music is more chill.
Mike G came out next and his set was surprisingly amped and probably the second best of the night. When he performed King that got the crowd going crazy, still can't believe he had a better set than Mellowhype tho.
When Tyler came back to start his set the sound guy was fucking up on his mic he had it set to about as quiet as Jasper's mic. So to test out the mic he went into about 4 verses from the song Bastard. Then went to do an accapella of the last 2 verses of Seven. When Tyler performed Yonkers the crowd went crazy.
Tyler performed 2 new songs off Goblin, the first was Fish. A slow song with screwed/distorted vocals he's been known to use. It reminded me of a blend of Yonkers and Blow. Some great verses and it's an excellent evolution of that sound he captured in Bastard. The second was Bitch Suck Dick ft. Jasper and Taco. This is a certified SLAP. Like Tina was a tongue in cheek parody of swag rap like Soulja Boy and Basedgod, this was similar except it's inspired by Waka Flocka Flame. They even go as far as using the pow/bow adlibs throughout and both of the "non-rappers" gave much better verses this time around. Tyler had a short verse where he was using a hyped fast flow that winds down if that makes sense.
Tyler got the crowd to perform Earl and Couch to end the night. This probably got the crowd closest to the same energy that the opening DJ set had, maybe everyone was burned out by then tho, I know I was already tired lol. While they were leaving Mike G stopped everyone and mentioned that he didn't get a chance to hit Philly & DC so he wanted to perform a new song off his next album Gold. It was really dope and he killed all 3 verses.
Overall I had a good time although rushing to make the last BART trains kind of sucked. Then we had to walk from the Richmond station about 10 blocks to my friends mom's house where he left the car parked to get home, that was just as fun as it sounds.
