Undefeated 21-0, WBA Super Middleweight Champion Andre ward takes on dangerous 29-1 Allen Green June 19th.

For those that haven't been following, there is a Super Middleweight Tournament going on and Andre Ward, after crushing heavy favorite Mikkel Kessler in Oakland last year, has emerged as the new favorite to win the tournament. Allen Green is a substitute for Jermain Taylor, who quit the tournament after being brutally KO'd by Aurthur Abraham. Green is a big puncher (see video below as evidence) and should provide another good test for Ward.

Andre Ward

26 years old
6′ 1″
73″ reach
Birth place: San Francisco. Residence: Oakland
21-0 (14 KO's)

VS

Allen Green

^^I think it was part of his contract to join the tournament, it was one of his demands and I guess Showtime and the rest of the fighters/promoters had no issues with it. He'll have to fight Andre Dirrell next away from Oakland.

^^He just had his best career performance in destroying Mikkel Kessler who was the favorite to win the tournament and the #1 ranked SMW. Ward won every single round and the fight was stopped due to cuts, although Kessler looked like he was about to get KO'd.

His performance was so good that most people now favor Ward to win the tournament and soon will be the #1 SMW.

For those that haven't been following, there is a Super Six Tournament, which involves 6 of the top Super Middleweights:

Andre Ward (US)
Andre Dirrell (US)
Arthur Abraham (Germany)
Carl Froch (UK)
Allen Green (US)
Mikkel Kessler (Denmark)

The idea is the winner will become the unified champion and crowned the best super middleweight in the world. What's also cool about this tournament is that it isn't a single elimination, it's a tournament designed so that everyone has to fight everyone. You get 2 points for a victory, 3 points for a KO. The guys with the most points advance to the next round.

There is a thread about the tournament here:

Here is the bracket with the results so far:
