duke sheisty aint doin shit from knowlege.. i could be wrong but he aint rollin wit us... he wit his chick and workin from what i know i cant even say if he is rappin.... but bottomline the forefront of F.E. is me mr kee and dap daniel
I think you three sound tight as a group and compliment each other. How did you guys decide to hook up and become a group? Dap Daniels got skills, I first heard him on the Latin Plague.
ME AND KEE BEEN WORKIN TOGETHER FOR 3 YEARS NOW... BUT ME AND DAP GO WAY BACK HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO COUNT BARS.... DAP IS THE TOTAL PACKAGE HE DO IT ALL.. YOU NAME IT HE DO IT... I INTRODUCED HIM TO KEE BOUT A YEAR OR SO AGO AND WE ALL JUST BLENDED.... LIKE BEST FRIENDS.... WE ARE FRIENDS IN REAL LIFE NOT RAP LIFE.... SO IT SHOWS IN OUR MUSIC CAUSE WE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE......
ITS ALL GOOD IM GLAD YALL FEELIN IT MAN.... SPREAD THE WORD....
this is coming from someone who does metal/rap. hook was on point (i love it).
lyrics were on point from the first rapper to the last everyone was spitting. my fav was the second rapper.
now on to what i didnt like.
as far as the mix is concerned the vocals cut through in some areas but in others its hard to hear (maybe limit or compress them a lil bit more to bring them out).
i DONT like the fact that EVERYTHING is in the middle. why not pan some of those sounds? the sounds during the hook should be panned. pan them left and right (that synth sound and that padlike sound) or have them going back and fourth in the mix.
what you have playing WITH the bassline could come up a notch. bring it up some because it helps it accent the bassline.
take the bassline OUT in some areas. or drop the kicks and snare and maybe the hi hats. that way it doesnt sound like its the same thing over and over. speaking of the snare it sounds layered. thats a good thing. goives it a nice thick/fat sound.
i would have placed a delay on the vocalist during the hook. something that is a multiple of the tempo but i would have the delay cut down in volume so people QUESTION if they hear it. basically they hear it and dont hear it.
this is coming from a technical/engineers point of view. the average joe knows nothing about what i just typed.
much success to you in 2003 and when you blow up remember this song and those who helped you. that way you wont be like some artist and forget where you came from.
:H:
