Yea i agree mac dre wasnt the KING of the bay. He was an ICON and a LEGEND but e-40 had the torch and is still carrying. The bay needs him to drop a GOOD selling cd if we are hoping to BLOW UP. i personally dont care if the bay goes mainstream or "blows up". It would be nice to see our artist on BET/MTV and on diff RADIO stations. Fuckin VH1 doing the life of MAC DRE and stuff like that.

E-40 is finna go GLOBAL when his shit wit lil jon drops.....Keak is only 1 hit away from doing it real big!! we all like superhyphie and dopegame but the rest of the country has to catch up to him before he'll do those bigger numbers....Frontline and The Team have the best chance out of the bay rappers to do those big numbers.....not to say that a lot of the rappers in tha bay arent tight-but commercially those guys have the chance to do well!! The rest of the rappers will go down in the halls of the BAY as some of the most inluential cats who never made it....thats not necessairly a bad thing tho. What if we looked at it this way....its not the BAY trying to break out..its the rest of the music industry that can't get INTO the Bay and make us feel any differently. We have our own style own slang and its the place where all the game comes from...We already on top mayne just gotta get mo dough.....And to add to that list of rapper who might blow....SKY BALLA has a commercial flow and ties to the GAme so look out for him....a SKY and DR DRE COLLABo would be SIck though wouldnt it?

^^^ yeah but looking at it strictly as getting mainstream exposure. mac dre just had the perfect image. i may be wrong but how an artist presents himself is huge, and dre was basically hip. his rapping skills arent the only reason everyones trying to act like mac dre nowadays, its cause he had a trend setting image that now is even slowly spreading outside of the bay. when i think of mainstream i dont necessarily think of talented mcs, cause clearly thats not what it takes to make it big. its more than that
