Somalis die of starvations every second. That's a far more brutal and slow death than being blown up in a split second - but nobody talks about it. Nobody cares. Those people are black, poor, AND thousands of miles away. 3 strikes you're out. Nobody cares.

Innocent Israelis killed in suicide bombs. Innocent Palestinians killed in retaliation. Mass graves in Afghanistan, Liberia, South America to Korea. Women and children slaughtered in most cases denied their proper burrial. Where are your crocodile tears and moments of silence? How are these deaths any less signifigant than the deaths of the pocketful of corporate yuppies, politicians, and rich foreigners who died in the WTC?

One incident, small in comparison to the century of carnage in other countries, and we must speak in whispers. Even the very mention of "911" brings instand caution, cynicism, and a poor bedside humor to whomever we speak.

Have you never heard of the U.S. intervention in Somalia? We tried to enter that country in 1993 and offer aid to as many somalians as we could, only to be attacked and have 19 soldiers killed. Sure, let's go back, they seem to love us to death, literally.

THAT IS BECAUSE THIS IS OUR COUNTRY. Of course we are going to grieve over thousands of innocent Americans killed in OUR OWN fucking country. If we had a moment of silence for every horrific event in our history, we would slip into eternal sleep.

i'd say u can get about 10-15 steak fillets with each cow... but the actual number cannot be calculated unless u indicate a time frame in which we can count a given number of cows

You have to understand that, there is a difference between watching people in your own country die by the thousands, over and over again on TV like an instant replay, and then reading an article about something happening in another country. What's really sad is, when you care more about the murdered people in other countries then those in your own.
