lol thats wut i first heard... and if it were true, how the hell did that elevate into something so big?? mexicans downright hate each other nowadays
there was separtation to begin with. I mean when our gente was struggling in the prison system to get some respect and equality it was all good any mexicano/chicano that had cora rolled with la eme. it basically reshaped the whole prison system suddenly when la raza connected we gained power, all of a sudden nadien pudia chingar con nosotros. and you know with power all comes the fight to be on top of that power, so slowly but surely sides get formed and the sides in this story were south(mainly chicanos and generations deep in gangbanging) and north(mainly mexicanos new to the country that moved up north to work in the campos or sons of famers(funny cause now scrapas took that role up here)
the southern raza would pick on and torment the nor cal gente and start to believe that we had no right to ride with the ganga and that if we wanted protecting it should be on a tax basis. I never heard of the tax ever being purposed, pero the feeling was their. the nor cal gente started to group out of being targeted by the southern raza(funny cause the whole eme started to prevent raza from getting targeted in prison and now they were the ones that were the main bullys of raza) the fameros started to click up and do their own thing while the eme continued to torment them.
The straw that broke the camels back was the stealing of the shoes and the murder of a nor cal inmate by a so cal inmate. Thats when the fameros decide to stand up and protect themselves from the eme. Now it is important to know that alot of the original fameros were not joining cause of north/south but on injustices of rural/mexicanos being targeted by chicanos.
you have to look and the thing behind the shoes to get the real reason.
